We (DH, DD almost 4, and I) are visiting for 5 days, and I've made ADRs for these places:

Akershus (Breakfast)
Les Chefs de Paris (Dinner)
Tusker House (Lunch)

We booked with a short time frame so 1900 Park Fare wasn't an option, although I keep checking for cancellations. We plan to do quick counter service and/or eat what we pack for the other meals.

Am I silly to think this is a good plan? I feel a bit nervous not having it all planned out, but don't really want to be a slave to ADRs either. This is my first trip as an adult.

Hi! Welcome to the Dis!

As long as you are not on the meal plan, I think it's fine to have just 3 ADR booked.

When we were in Disney last month, we made one lunch ADR before we left but we were able to get 2 last minute ADRs while we were there when we knew where we were goint to be and when. We find it more relaxing to be on our own schedule instead of having to be in certain places at certain times.

Enjoy your vacation!

We're more of a QS family anyway, but we only did 2 ADR's for our last trip. We had three, but I cancelled one of them.

I would say that if you're okay with QS then 3 is perfectly fine! But if you're wanting a TS meal I would make sure you have ADR for each.

Ok, so DH was complaining that he was going to be hungry (he's a huge eater and also very skinny - argh) and wanted more TS meals, so we are going to go with the DDP. I'm sure it will be fine even with having to be certain places at certain times, we're usually pretty good with keeping on schedule. Thanks for the advice and the welcome!
