$3.75 a pound for lobster!!

I don't remember paying that little in YEARS!!! It sucks for the fisherman- but we're having lobster tonight!!!

Bangor!! The woman was selling them out of her truck by the airport. Her husband is a lobsterman and she said that she really appreciated the support people were giving them. There was a REALLY long line. I got 4 of them for $20!!

Unfortunately Bangor is too far for me to drive. I might be in Portland this weekend - maybe someone will be having a sale there! I love lobster.

Well, it helps if the fisherman brings it home and loads it in his truck and his wife comes to town and sells it. Cuts out the middleman AND it doesn't get much fresher..... these lobsters were crawling on the bottom of the Atlantic this morning....

I went on a lobster fishing tour once and it was pretty interesting to hear about how many, many years ago, only poor people ate lobster.. They would go down to the beaches and find them after big storms.. High society wouldn't be caught dead eating lobster..

Then someone decided they should be a delicacy and BINGO!! They cost an arm and a leg..

My uncle was a lobsterman... doesn't bother me a bit!

It's true. The men in prison were fed them and they got pretty sick of it. The days of going down to the shore at low tide and picking up lobsters is waaaaay gone- too bad!!

Hey- I paid $20 for 4 pretty decent sized lobsters... just bring the beer and wine and we'll be all set!!
