I'm very close to booking our 2nd Magic cruise. I was wondering how many from this board would be with us! Hopefully this time we will make it to Castaway Cay:D Our group will be Myself,DH, DD18 & DS15. We may also bring along DD's boyfriend and a friend for DS. I must admit it is hard to know how to have your kids invite a friend and also explain that it will cost about 1500 to come! In this economy not all parents can afford to pay that .

I'm bumping again! I know there are more out there because the only way to book a stateroom to sleep 4 people is to go cat9,10,and11 everything else comes up unavailable.

we are on this cruise with 3 cabins! my brother and sister-in-law with DD ages 2 & 4, my mom and dad ages left untold!, and we have DD age 9, DS age 14,and DS age 16. anyone with kids similar ages please respond!!!

We have officially booked our cruise! So my DD18 and DS15 will be there for sure with me and hubby. The uncertain ones are DD's boyfriend and another 15 friend of my son's. Even if my son doesn't have a friend along he will have a blast, our last cruise in 4/01 on the Magic we never saw him unless we ran into him and the crowd of kids he hung out with all week! If any of the kids would like to e-mail each other to "break the ice" that would be great!

I bought our airline tickets the other day so there is no backing out! Disney wanted over 550 for air and I booked ours for 220 plus we are staying over Sat night and fly out Sunday at 5pm so we are going to spend some time at WDW. I'm getting sooo excited, I drive my family crazy! For sure it will be myself, DH,DD18,DS15 and DD's friend 20. I can't believe there are not more of us DIS on this cruise, yet I believe it is pretty full. We are going 2 Cat 9 cabins and are wait listed for connecting rooms.

Howardlee,
My DD, Emily is 8 and she would love to communicate with your DD. E-mail me back if she's interested.
We are also in a category 9 room (connecting). When I booked back in June, that was basically all that was still available for a group of our size. Donna

Sigafoos,
I wasn't too impressed with your airfare until I saw where you are from. I usually get the $220 airfare to Orlando, but I'm paying over $400 to fly out on March 21 and returning at the same time as you! I am jealous!

I was very excited to get that price for airfare. If we had flown with Disney we also would have had to fly out on Sat unless we paid a 50 per person air deviation fee to fly home Sunday. This gives us 1 night at ASM and a day and a half to go commando park hopping!:p My daughters friend who is with us has never been to WDW so we are giving him a small taste of WDW by hitting as many of our favorite things, TOT and Rockin Rollercoaster are the top 2 to-do rides. Just thinking about submitting for excursions tonight is sooo exciting, the planning is almost as fun as the actual trip!

I'm going to make a ressie for Sat. night also - you may see us at ASM. You'll definitely see us at RnR!

Another DIS family here, DD 7, DS 10, both looking for friends - let me know if any out there.

hello from the chgo burbs! check your email, my dd9 emailed Emily last night (i hope)! looking forward to the spring break cruise!

Hi, Howardlee,
Yes, Emily got it. She's really happy to be meeting up with some kids her age prior to the cruise. Unfortunately, our computer is old and will often erase your work if you hit the backspace button too fast! Emily loses about half of her work and then has a tantrum. She will e-mail Alyssa back soon. Glad to hear from you!

Just got off the phone with DCL and booked all of our excursions! We will be doing the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Martin, the 5-Star St. John Snorkel Adventure(we did this on 1st cruise) and everyone but me will parasail on Castaway Cay. As today is the first day to book excursions if you are considering one that is very popular you might call today, if you change your mind you can cancel up to March 20 with no charge!

I was thinking about that 5 star St.J snorkel and beach adventure one also. Does anyone know the difference between that one and the St. J. Trunk Bay bEach and Snorkel tour? (Besides the price and the rum punch) Also, Sigafoos, do you remember if the boat trip on the 5 star one is really long? I'm concerned my 5 year old DS is going to be jumping overboard when he gets bored! LOL. I'm going to make my ressies early also.

DonnaDavid,
If I remember the boat trip to Trunk Bay was about 45 min. There were lots of kids and none seemed bored, you don't have to just sit the whole time you can walk around. During the ride over the crew points out lanmarks, famous homes and the history of the area. I believe the difference between the 5-Star and the St John Bay Beach is that on the St John beach you ride a ferry to St. John and then take a vehicle to drive to Trunk Bay. I know alot of people prefer to get a taxi and go on their own so they can spend more time snorkling but for us the time at the beach is long enough. Also when you get back there is time to go into town and do a little shopping. I also feel more comfortable knowing that if we go on a Disney excursion and we return late they will wait for us as there are a whole boat load of passengers! The time at St. Thomas is not that long and I would not want to be late.:p
