I know you can put the room hanger out for morning breakfast delivery the night before but that doesn't start until around 5:00am. Does anyone know if we can call down at 3am or 4am and get a couple of bagels with cream cheese, or cereal and milk? I understand they are 24hr room service but when can you start getting breakfast foods instead of their typical room service menu? Our family are morning birds up way before the sun.

Can you order it the previous morning and have it in your fridge? I imagine you could then call for a fresh pot of coffee at 3 or 4am, if you like.

I can't really answer if you can order room service for that early but if not, on the first morning of the cruise, you could grab what you need for the next morning's breakfast from the buffet and put refrigerated items in frig. Maybe bring ziplock bags for bagels. Also, maybe they would let you order everything the night before from room service. I've heard that coffee stays hot overnight in the container they bring it in.

wow, you guys are not morning birds but really night owls. what time do you go to bed? 8pm or so.. I would just get food the night before and let it sit a few hours.

Yes we are asleep by 8:00pm every night. We plan to grab milk and such for the rest of our mornings to keep in our room. Just planning for that first morning on ship. We’ll just bring some packaged muffins or something. Was just hoping someone here had done this before. Thanks!

It doesn't hurt to call and ask for bagels or cereal. There might also be some things you could order for a more non-traditional breakfast such as the cheese platter, fruit bowl or BLT sandwich. Room service also has Uncrustables.

Exactly my thoughts! I would call room service once you are onboard and ask them. I'm betting they can accommodate. Especially since they don't really do full breakfasts at all, just continental type stuff. I always get bowls of fruit too. The cheese platter and BLT are fabulous ideas! :thumbsup2

My poor memory- but maybe if someone has a picture of the door hanger? I thought the first time you could check off was 7:00-7:30am? Like I said, I probably wrong. I would grab some food ahead of time and throw it in the cooler

I just had to laugh. We don’t eat until 8 or 830 so going to bed at 8 strikes me as very amusing. I would probably feel like I was missing too much by going to bed that early while on a cruise. There’s so much to do at night. After 22 cruises I’ve still never ordered room service I’ll have to do it one day. The fridge really isn’t that cold so I personally would not like keeping milk in it. I like stuff really cold.

I've ordered cereal late at night to save for the next morning, so I would imagine you could call for it at 3-4am.

OP? Just curious I assume you either miss dinner or the shows while cruising????

We going to dinner but only for dessert maybe an appetizer so no heavy stomachs before bed. We usually have dinner at 3:00pm/4:00pm. No evening shows for us. No pirates fireworks either unless they do that new 7:30pm time they have done on past cruises I read about. We even have given DS the opportunity to stay late at the kids club if he wanted to. He was having us called to pick him up by 9:00pm.

Love the ship in the morning all to ourselves. Have been on the Dream but didn’t ask about breakfast rooms service just brought some breakfast snack foods that trip for that first morning then grabbed for the room for the next mornings. Figured i’d Ask for this next trip.

Family of early(ish) birds here!!

I'm following for tips. DH is an early riser and at least one of my kids will get up early and wake the rest. The younger two are hungry as soon as they get up.

We usually take some snacks and pick a few things up from Cabanas the first day. That will tide them over until Cabanas opens, usually. We did early room service once, but I wasn't impressed with the selection. From what I can recall, it felt like the same sort of stuff we could have stockpiled (fruit, pastries, etc.).

I'm not exactly a night owl but would love to sleep in! Hopefully my kids will decide the same as they get older! We usually split up at night...I'll go to the show with whoever wants to go and DH stays in the room with whichever kid is ready for bed.

But, since Room Service is 24/7, you can certainly give Room Service a phone call at anytime for food delivery.

Room service is 24/7, if it’s on the menu you can get it. My experience has been if it’s on any menu they can get it. I recall getting continental breakfast after 10am, can’t imagine it isn’t available before 5

Me too. We always have second seating dinner, so going to bed at that time is unfathomable. I think we've ordered room service once in 10 cruises (it was for the kids the night we went to Palo). The idea of eating in those small staterooms? No thanks. Anyway...what can you possibly do after waking up at 3 or 4 am besides walk around an empty ship? Admittedly, that is something I enjoy - but usually around 12-1am before going to bed.

We order cereal and milk every night before we go to bed. My son is always up and hungry before I have one eye open.
