Hi All

I know this has been asked before - but despite all my research I am still not clear what the answer is.

4 of us will be taking our Disney vacation on September 2020 for 7 days (Myself 35 & DD 4 and My Cousin 52 & her DD16).
As much as we will be traveling together, I still would like each of us to have private time with our daughters - so options are renting a 1 bedroom DVC - which I'm nervous about since its non refundable. We are international travellers so I anything can happen.
My other options is getting 2 rooms at POP. I like this options more as gondola will be running by then which should add to the vacation experience.

So my question is - If me and DD4 are in Room 1 and we get the DDP dining plan - could we be able to share our credits with room 2?
Some say absolutely yes, some say not at these places.

Which places say no so I can avoid making reservations there?
Or is it better to just avoid the drama and get the QS plan for the one room and share?

My last 2018 vacation all I had was QS so I wanted to try some TS.

Help plz!

It’s too soon to say what, if any, changes would happen 14 months from now

Right now, w the standard ddp there is 1 ts and 1 qs and 2 snacks pp per night. Ts credits are not pooled and will be 1 set for 10 Andover and 1 for children 9and under. QS credits are pooled

DxDP credits are are pooled and not separated between children and adults. You could get dxdp for your room which would be 6 credits per night, usable for ts or qs. Plus snack credits of course. You could also pay oop for your 4yo if you chose and used credits for all adult meals

This is how it is today. I can’t tell you if this is how it will work that far in the future

If you went the DVC point rental route buy trip insurance!

Hi Pumbaa

Thank you for your response...

"DxDP credits are are pooled and not separated between children and adults. You could get dxdp for your room which would be 6 credits per night, usable for ts or qs. Plus snack credits of course. You could also pay oop for your 4yo if you chose and used credits for all adult meals" - Is this for the Deluxe Dining Plan?

Which ever plan I get Disney Dining Plan or Deluxe Dining Plan - my worst fear is having to have awkward conversation with the server after convincing my sister and niece to take this magical trip with us.

Im happy with the Deluxe as long as I can share...but like you said - it's too soon to tell.

Thanks u soo much!

Yes, it is for DxDP

The standard ddp is kinda shareable? But your DD will have child TS credits which are only for 9 and under. So you would need 3 adult credits and 1 child credit for each ts meal. Leaving you w a bunch of child ts credits handprint out there

We will most likely have a sticky thread come January if we see any reports of issues sharing credits. We have a sticky thread up there now for reports of sharing issues early this year. Which turned out to be a few rogue managers.
