Just wanted to add...wait a bit to see about FLorence. As a SFla/hurricane veteran I can say from experience, you never know what will happen. But the storm isn't expected to cause problems. It originated in an area that statistically creates storms that don't move up through Florida. Thought I would try and smooth some worries out...

DH just surprised me with two lime-green Disney paint chips from Home Depot. They were inside a card that read - See you next week, Goofy!
I can't believe we are going! I will have our green mickeys on our lanyards for the trip. No itinerary just yet, since I have less than a week to plan what I usually do in a few months. I am just happy that we will be in Mickey's house next Tuesday. See you there fellow Disers!

I love coming on and checking this thread in the morning. Also excited for Saturday. I wonder if I am going to be able to sleep at all Friday night. I'll be at my mom's house which is closer to the airport. We leave at 7:15 am.

P.S. Zuzu... have you thought of which building you want to stay in at CSR?? We have requested the Ranchos 'cause we prefer the look of the building.

Yay! Count me in...I just found out my family and I are going this Fri, the 8th through the 10th. We have AP's, and weren't planning on returning till Oct 12. But my Mom decided yesterday we should go and get the most out of our passes. I'm 22, and I have a 5 year old sister that I don't get to see as often as I like. I live on my own an hour and a half away from my family, so times like this are so exciting for us. She loves WDW! (who wouldn't?) Anyway, can you tell I'm excited? See you all there!!!

That's great! I gather you must be a fellow Floridian? I'll be there the same times with my DS4 - we drive over 9/8 and come home 9/10.

We start driving tomorrow, right after the kids get home from school. DH (always cool, calm and collected) decided that one more day was necessary! We'll spend the first night (Friday) off site and then get into the real vacation bright and early on Saturday!

Flo will stay away! When I lived in Florida all the hurricanes went to North Carolina. Since I moved to Illinois all the hurricanes went to Florida. So its only logical that when I visit Florida the Hurricanes will not hit there! I don't reccomend a vacation to North Carolina in the near future!

We leave Friday at noon (don't tell the office!) and are going to stop offsite Friday night close to Orlando so the boy can get some swimming in. Then Saturday morning we will have a short jaunt to the Beach Club for seven FUN FUN FUN filled days, starting off with MGM.

All of our dinner reservations are made except for Friday night (Boma or Spoodles?!?!) with our Illuminations cruise on our final night.

I am sooooooooooo excited as it will be our son's first trip and the first trip for 'granny' that includes a grandchild!

I am in the single digits now. Last night my sis said that if Flo does get close to Florida then we may fly in a day early so I might get an extra day out of it (but that probably won't happen as it doesn't look like the storm will get near Florida at this time).

Thats it! we have the same trip! We are leaving tomorrow night! We will be checking in on Friday at POP! I am so excited! Did you check with Disney on a room we did about two weeks ago and got one with the dining plan added!

I am so excited-my little one it toooo excited! She has been bouncing off the walls!

We are staying offsite friday so that we can rest from our straight through drive with 4 kids! If we were onsite the kids (and me!) would want to go go go right away! And we wanted sleepy and grumpy to be the dwarves not us!!!

Smart move-we just have a 4 year old princess who doesn't totally understand closing times and whatnot (we have kept that info from her ) So we can drive her into DTD and she will think she is at Disney.

We fly out at 6am (much to the dismay of my DH)! My dad is driving us to the airport at 4am (He's a great man). We requested the Casitas. I thought the fountains looked romantic. I can barely stand the wait.

we'll be hitting the parks on 09/11 starting at AK. I'll be wearing my lime green super-wicking shirt so I should be hard to miss. Our group of 4 is pretty crazy so look for us through the 14th.

I ordered our bottled water from Staples this morning. I am going to do all of the heavy-duty packing on Sunday.
