2nd UPDATE* DVC Meet Jan 3 Illuminations Dessert Party

kem330,
How neat! Thanks for organizing this. I am definately interested in this. This would be so cool, if it is possible.... We at WDW 12/30 thru 1/3 --there will be 4 of us. What time does the dessert party begin? We have a CP package for the 8:15pm CP on 12/30--would we still be able to sign up on that night?

-DC :)

Wish we were going to be there this year! What a great idea.

We are interested, too! There will be three of us (2A, 1C) and we'll be there from 12/27 to 1/3/03.

Hmm....this is intriguing.

There will be 7 of us from 12/28 through 1/3. (We depart on 1/4.)

Well, I hope I am not off base on this, I thought it was worth a try to find out how many we need and what the cost is. I'm hoping it's no more than $25/person(hopefully less!) which would put it in line with the Illuminations Cruise. The viewing spots are super! I'm open to dates- we have CP on the 29th, but I could change it. I'm guessing NYE will be impossible so it would be the 28, 29, 30, 1 or 2. It looks like the 12/30, 1/1 or 1/2 works for all of you. I'll report Monday either way.

I'd be interested! We'll (2A, 1C) be there 12/29 to 1/4. I'd vote for 1/1 or 1/2 after things settle down after NYE.

Sounds like fun! Depending on the date, we'll have anywhere from 4 to 8 adults. Four of us are there from 12/22 to 1/3--two others join us from 12/26 to 1/1--and two are CM's who are there all the time but you never know about their work schedules.

I'm still interested. It's very nice of you to try to arrange this. Let's hope that it works out.

We can come, too. 3 Adults and 1 child Any day from 12/29-1/2/03

What a great idea!

We'll be there and available on Jan 2nd for this. I was going to try for an Illuminations cruise for that night, but this sounds like a lot of fun!

Our group is 6 adults and one 9 year old. Count us in!

there will be 3 adults from Idaho who will be interested. arriving Dec.30 leaving Jan.11 staying at beachclub villas Derinda:bounce:

My husband and I(2adults) are also interested in going in on this. Please let us know the further details and we will be more than happy to make arrangements w/you regarding payment etc. We are visiting from Dec 22-27 at Grand Floridian and from Dec 27 through Jan 3 at OKW.

Talked to Dante today at WDW Catering and the good news is you only need a $700 minimum(inc tax and tip), not $1700. The bad news is it's not available until Jan 3 due to Holiday crowds and staffing:( . So we will be gone but several of you will still be there and I think you can make it work if you want. I have all the menus, It starts at $17.50/person plus 6% tax and 20% gratuity, 20 person minimum.Which comes to $22.05/person. You can also have a cash bar as well. Three of the menus:

Dessert Party Menus:

Deluxe
Stemware Glasses Filled with Classic Tiramisu,
English Trifle, Fresh Fruit and Berries
Pastry Selections in Miniature to include:
Fresh Fruit Tartlet, Vanilla Cream Filled Pastry Horns, Chocolate Eclairs
Chocolate and Pistachio Cannoli
Orange Marmalade Roulade
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Lemonade

$27.50 PP++
(1 Hour, 20 Person Minimum)

For The Child In You:
Florida Lemon Bars, Double Chocolate Brownies
White Chocolate Chip with Macadamia Nut Cookies and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Chewy Rice Crispy Treats and Chocolate Marshmallow Squares
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Lemonade
$17.50 PP++
(1 Hour, 20 Person Minimum)

Old World Classics in Miniature:
Pastries in Miniature to include:
Chocolate and Pistachio Cannoli
Fresh Fruit Tartlet, Vanilla Cream Filled Pastry Horns
Chocolate Eclairs, Orange Marmalade Roulade
Italian Style Ricotta Cheesecake, Chocolate Pecan Pies
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Lemonade
$22.50 PP++
(1 Hour, 20 Person Minimum)

So to meet the $700 minimum, you would need 32 people for the $17.50 menu, 25 for the $22.50 menu
or less people if you add the bar which also counts towards the minimum.
Contact me if you want to take this over?? Hope you can do it!!!!

Unfortunately, we have a 5:00p.m. flight out on the 3rd, so we won't be able to attend.
I will be thinking of all of you though. Enjoy!

Silly question, I'm sure - but, would participants need park admission?

I've often seen what appeared coroporate groups escorted in for these affairs - so I assume that "they" didn't need admission.

This is a Friday night, I believe - so we could probably drive over. If park admission wasn't required, we could maybe bring some friends with us.

Thanks for all of your effort - I've always wondered how much those things cost...

I requested the price for people already being in the park- so yes you would need a ticket. They do something different as you mentionned for corporate events but I didn't check into that aspect as I though it would be more money. Whoever takes it over could check on this.
