2nd trip since MB were introduced

Some of us already have Magic Bands.

Do we get new ones or do we use our old one?

It is up to you. You have the option when you log into MDE to customize new bands, or you can click a link declining new ones.

What I mean is, you will get new ones (although I believe you can turn them down), and you can also use your old ones. Some people like to have more than one color to match their outfits.

I should add that some will get different colors, and with the names you can add the year, etc. I have one from almost 2 years ago, and it still is active. I think the batteries were originally estimated to last about 3 years, give or take, no guarantees.

The batteries are only needed for long range things like ride photos and I think getting your food delivered to you at BoG. They're not needed for park entry, using FP, opening your door, charging to your room, etc.

I took my old ones (2 years old) but also got new ones because I was concerned about battery life or whether we'd have problems with the old ones. I got different coloured ones so that I could coordinate and I did switch from one to the other to match my outfit for the day. Being in Canada, we also don't get them sent to us and I thought it would be easier to use them for ME rather than to dig up the ticket booklet for it. Worked perfectly. Next time, I'll take both sets and get new ones in yet another colour.

If it's been 2 years you'll get more
I belive the decline option only works if you're trip had been in the last year
You aren't obligated to use the new set

it is exactly 2 years since my last trip. I got new ones for this reason and...

we trimmed my youngest daughters and the old one doesn't fit.
