2nd Trip in 5 Months...How Much Planning?

Due to good airfare, I'm going to Disney again in early May, but I'm a little out of sorts because we just went in early December. I planned and planned for that trip for about a year, but with this being a little spur of the moment and the fact that we were just there, I can't get into planning mode and I really wonder how much planning I have to do?

I did get our PS's and I know what parks we want to do on what days, but beyond that I'm thinking of just going and doing...is this a mistake or should I figure out/plan what rides to hit first, which show to see when ect...

We were going to skip Epcot, but now I'm thinking maybe not...I'd kinda like to see the flower and topiary displays from the Garden Festival, but I don't want to be rushing around to fit things in (only staying 4 nights) then again since we were just there, I think there are some things we can skip this time. but then again, I'm afraid of being "underplanned." Sigh.......

We just went last month (for 12 nights) and we are going back in May (5 nights) and December (7 nights). Anyway, I have our PS's made, and I planned which days we go to each park. We will make a list of things we want to do in each park as well, haven't done that yet. But that's all the planning we'll do. I think if you have enough knowledge about WDW, then you don't need to be quite as specific about your planning. Because you can plan as you go. I have learned so much from reading these boards (Thank You DIS!!), I feel confident that we don't need to plan every last detail, and we will still do all that we want to and it will go smoothly.
