So we just booked our 2nd cruise on the Disney Fantasy for September 8th 2018. I've joined this forum to read up and study a bit more and have come up with a few questions and observations.

1) How nice is the Disney Cruise Line Transfer? Is it worth the money? Last time we had the hotel concierge take us and it was included and all we had to do was Tip.

2) Observation... When you do a load of laundry on the ship...make sure you keep after it. It will tell you how long a load takes to wash and dry. So be prompt about changing out your washer and dryer loads. There are plenty of people especially towards the end of the cruise that want to do laundry. Please be kind.

3) Anyone know of any threads started for the 2018 Disney Fantasy Cruise on September 8th. My wife and I wanted to see if there were going to be any meet and greets or plans!

Also, What are the benefits to booking your next cruise on the ship vs. waiting until you get home and realize you want to do that again? :)

As long as the cruise is not in a blackout date, you save 10% on the cruise.

Cruises 7-nights or longer get a reduced deposit of only 10%.

And you get OBC of $100 for cruises less than 7 nights and $200 for cruises more than 7 nights.

Also no discount or reduced deposit for booking in Concierge on a future cruise.

1) We've always done the DCL transfers (from both MCO as well as resorts). We think it's great. Don't have to handle luggage from resort to room onboard, and don't have to worry about whether we're taking the correct highway (if we drive ourselves).
3) There's no cruise meet thread started for your cruise. If you want to, could head over to the Cruise Meet board and start it: https://www.disboards.com/forums/disney-cruise-meets.85/ Then post a request on the "Find your 2018 Fantasy Cruise Meet LINK here" thread https://www.disboards.com/threads/find-your-2018-fantasy-cruise-meet-link-here.3557933/ to have the link added to the first post there. Makes it easier for others on the same cruise to find you.

I booked my upcoming TA cruise while onboard and I remember the 10% off and the 10% deposit but do not remember anything about OBC. How do I find out about the OBC? Do I have to wait until I'm on board the ship?

OBC isn't visible anywhere on your online reservation. It's possible to call DCL and ask them if you have any OBC. Sometimes they will confirm it. Sometimes not.
