Which direction does the 2nd parade go??? Front to Back or Back to Front??

I'm trying to plan a 1 day trip after our cruise...trying to get as much in as possible for our Dnephew(12) who's never been to WDW before.

We've (DH, me, DS-12, DD-10) have been numerous times and the kids are picking the hi-lites that we should see in one day at 3 parks...(MK, MGM, Epcot)

YIKES! I'm tired just thinking about it :rotfl:

The plan so far is to drive from the port to MGM (RNR, TOT, StarTours), drive to Epcot (Honey I shrunk the audience, Soaring, TT and maybe Mission Space) Monorail to MK for the rest of the day/evening....Wondering if I can catch Spectro then as soon as it passes us head to the monorail to the POLY beach for wishes. Then Monorail back to Epcot for the car.

We can sleep on the plane the next day.....right???? :rotfl2:

Wish us luck!

why not just watch wishes at the MK?

in any case to answer your question, spectro starts at the beginning of main street (right by city hall/guest relations)....
it's the opposite of the afternoon parade, which ends in the same place as spectro starts..

We've seen wishes from the park a few times and it all ways seems so crowded. Lots of pushing and shoving when it's over. When we stayed at the POLY a few years ago, we loved watching the fireworks from the beach. So we thought we'd try it again this trip.

So the 6:30 spectro goes back to front and the 8:30 goes front to back??? That's good...we can just get on the monorail from the front of the park, instead of having to hop the train around and out. :teeth:

Just a little over a month to go....We're so excited :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :cheer2:

I think it's probably offered 2x because of the F&W festival??? That's the only thing I can think of. I'm hoping it will not be too crowded while we're there. We're steering clear of the World Showcase at Epcot and just hitting the major rides at 3 of 4 parks....

:wizard: Pixie dust for good weather and light crowds :wizard:

We were there last May/June and watched both Spectro parades. When we saw them, they BOTH went in the same direction....starting on Main Street and making their way towards the castle. :sunny:

That is correct... The Day parade starts at Splash Mountain and works it's way to Main Street...

Spectro Magic ALWAYS starts on Main Street and ends by Spalsh Mountain. It does not matter if there is only one parade or if they are running two the same night they BOTH start on Main Street (this way the exit is not blocked by the parade, the parade passes the park exit first and works it's way to the back of the park)... The only time you will see this different is if they are filming the parade (in which case they want the castle in the shot...this is very rare, but I thought I would add that as there is always someone that saw it go the other direction)....

In July, curbside spots were still available 10 minutes before the start of the 2nd Spectro, or you can have a near private showing in FL.

Cheers.

That's what we were hoping, that the start would be at the front of the park....We'll see how crowded it is and decide if we want to stay or head to Polynesian for wishes! :goodvibes

Can't wait to go.....We're all so looking forward to our trip :Pinkbounc

Um, I'm not sure where you're looking, but according to the official calendar there's no night in November when they're running SpectroMagic twice. On the 6th, it's at 8:00 only. And there's no showing the entire month that starts on the half hour.

Anyway, best bet - watch from as close to the exit as possible; exit immediately; take the ferry to the TTC and walk to the Polynesian (or if there's room, the launch directly to the Poly).

I looked at the park hours last week and thought it was 6:30 and 8:30....Actually it was probably Fantasmic hrs (6:30 and 8:00) that I remembered....

I have 8:00 (spectro) and 9:00 (wishes) written down on my little cheat sheet for the parks....

Thanks! :earsboy:
