Hi! Just got off the phone with my aunt in Anaheim and she mentioned an ad she saw in the paper down there for a "2fer" ticket. She mentioned she would be willing to buy me one but I've heard that they require proof of residency. Would that be to purchase the ticket (ie. at the ticket booth) or as you're entering the parks? Just wanted to find out so I can tell her whether it's an option for me or not :)

TIA for any advice :goodvibes:

Nopt sure if this is going to answer your question or not but my Uncle who lives in FL purchased tickets at the FL rate for his adult dd's and they were asked for ID to prove they lived in FL.

I've never been asked for ID at the gate with 2fers, just at the ticketbooth. But it does say on the ticket that you should present photo ID at the gate (but nobody has ever asked for it)... Most people on the board seem to have had this same experience, but you never know.

I'm pretty sure SoCal residents can buy a limited number for friends/family. I know a few years ago the CM let me buy one for my mom (shes from MI) and said it was no problem since I was a resident and showed my ID.

We used 2Fer's for the last 4-5 years before we were residents. A local resident purchased them for us and he was often asked for ID. We were never asked to prove residency when we used the tickets. Have fun.

Thanks soo much for the info!!! You guys are the best!!! Also, do you think it would matter that she wouldn't be going to the park with me? (she's not all that into Disney *gasp* and she just doesn't want to walk or sit in a wheelchair all day).

I get so excited when I see the 2fer promotions!!! They only ask for ID when you are purchasing the ticket, so if your mom bought you one it would be okay. Also a friend of mine bought two tickets for him and his girlfriend who was coming from out of town for only a couple of days. They went to Disneyland but she left before they were able to use it again for California Adventure. He didn't want to waste her ticket so he invited my brother to go with him. They had no problem and he used her ticket to get into California Adventure. So my guess would be that she didn't have to be there with you.
