Is this new? I just got off the phone w/ MS regarding my upcoming trip. We have a 2br at BCV and when I made the reservation I requested 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. I called confirming this request and she said it was guaranteed that I would get that. I asked her to repeat that. I assumed that would be a request, but maybe it's like room view over at BWV. So do this mean I do not have to get to BCV early do get this because of the first come first served system they use there?

The two beds in the second bedroom has always been a reservation status room. It will always be guaranteed if they have one when you reserve it. It's like reserving a Boardwalk view room at BWV....It's a booking status, not a request.

does the boardwalk have the 2 bedroom with the 2 queen beds in the second room?

there are no dedicated 2 bedrooms at BWV , all 2nd bedrooms are the studio.
they have 1 queen and one pull out couch.

The 2 bedroom with 2 queens in the second bedroom is a reservable room type at BCV. To say it is guaranteed maybe a little strong. I have read a couple times where those rooms were not given to those who had reserved it. It is definately what you should get.

When you do make your view requests make sure to look at the BCV map that DisZip made (BCV map ) for possible 2 queen rooms. Note there are no 1st floor rooms and fewer pool view. Most are on the third floor.

I made a reservation for my brother and his family last January. I called a couple times to confirm it was a 2 bedroom with 2 queens. Each time MS told me yes. When he got there, they gave him a dedicated 2 bedroom but it had a queen with a sofabed. By the time he got to the room he was too tired to move. Maybe if he had known any better like room location he might not have received this room. BTW, his room was on the first floor.

Yes, it's a room type that is to be honored as it's a reserved room, however, it seems the BCV staff is not 100% properly trained so be sure to ask about it at check in and let them know you have to have that type of room. (note that for some reason the desk CMs can't tell if the room has 2 doubles or not so you may have to go check).

We reported here in July 2006 after our stay at the BCV when we were not given the proper room type and had to speak to numerous persons and managers before someone understood that we had a guaranteed type and not a request. In the end the night we checked in they could do nothing to fix it as they had given our room away and the next day we had an appointment at 6:30 am so we did not move.

:rotfl2: You are kidding right. The CMs can't tell!??! Dis Zip has it figured out, but the desk people in the resort can't tell. Perhaps we should forward them a copy of the floorplan?? That is the silliest thing I have heard in a while:lmao:

This is an interesting thread. Next week I will be calling to make my ressies for Dec 2007 and we want a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds.

We will be at BCV in a couple of weeks. We have a dedicated 2 Queen 2 BR. My 2 sons will kill each other in their sleep if they have to sleep together  and they fight over who gets the bed so this is important to me. MS told me this was guaranteed-we'll see. I too find it very difficult to believe that CM's don't know which rooms have 2 Queens-I will be going with the floorplan in hand to check at the desk. Many of the 2 Queen 2 BR's are smoking-it seems many more than NS.

BCV: 2 bedroom dedicated with 2 queens. There are only 25 of them. None on the first floor. They are booked at the time of the reservation, and only available for DVC members staying on points.

At times due to maintenance issues, etc. a guest might not get the one they booked. This does not happen often, but does happen.

The sofa beds are queens as well but they always have the right to change the unit type, no way to force this issue but there are ways to maximize your chances. Sounds like you did what you could.
