I called this morning and reserved a 2br at VWL for next October for 8 nights. I was concerned because people have said how they book one day at a time and this will be during the Food and Wine Festival and the Halloween Party. There will be 10 of us (6 adults, 2 children and 2 babies in porta-cribs). It will be quite an experience I'm sure.

Have fun! Like I said before there is rarely any need to call one day at a time, the exception of course is grand villas during the busy time of year. BWV guests have some speical situations regarding room location and size that may require this calling one day at a time.

One day at the time might come to play at the BW standard view, for Food and Wine, I would think most of the other resorts would not book that fast However, I still would do BW and BC reservations.....that location is pretty popular during Food and Wine, I will be calling one day at a time, because I'm booking standard view studio....don't want to miss out!

Called MS at 9:00am this morning to complete a six night stay at BCV 10-19-03 thru 10-25-03. When I called last week on thursday to check availability, the CM told me there were a FEW 2bdr units left So I started booking then day by day. We've only been members for 2 years now and this is the first time I felt the need to call day by day. Thanks to everyone on this board for all their knowledge and great advice!

I have been told by MS more than once that I've done the right thing by calling day by day for standard view ressies at BWV, and even for preferred view studios at busier times. Luckily, for our next trip (Oct. 2003) I only have to call twice to get my nights....because of Thanksgiving and the following weekend. Of course, I'll be calling from WDW!

It sounds like the hard part will be getting in at BCV for the 25th and 26th when I call in March! Oh, well, I'll waitlist it and make a backup ressie elsewhere with cash.....we've been considering trying All Star Movies before the kids get too big for us to stay in such a tiny room!
