2BR BLT or Studio SSR?

Just booked a last minuted trip for October to celebrate my birthday and was hoping to get BLT. The only thing available at BLT was a 2BR MK view. It is myself, DH and DD17. I booked the BLT 2 BR but and wondering what people think on whether I should waste my points on such a big unit that we don't really need, or just stay in a studio at SSR?

I can't believe anything with a MK view would be available.
How long are you staying? Have a party or invite some friends to fill it up.
You will always remember this birthday.

Thank you!! I was shocked it was available too. I did waitlist for a studio or 1 BR, but we will see what happens. We are only staying 3 nights...October 12-15th. BLT was not available on the 12th so we will be staying at SSR the first night, then go over to BLT for the 13th and 14th. My birthday is actually the 14th. My husband doesn't want to waste the points, but I may win out on this one.

Remember that if your BLT waitlist comes through 30 days or less prior to the start of the BLT reservation, the extra points go into the holding account.

If it were me, I'd call MS and make sure the BLT WL is set to expire at the 31 day mark.

When I saw your title, I was thinking SSR to save the points, but for two nights for your birthday -- go for BLT! (I tried to get an MK view for my birthday, but it wasn't available, sigh, so I'm going to AK savannah view -- at least will hopefully have some daytime animal viewing).

Another vote for keeping the BLT MK view.

It's the year of celebrations at Disney parks. You will have your choice of celebration options at the park.

go for it! We did it once, and we laughed while we were planning, and questioned the "wastefulness" of it but - it was one of our best trips!
