I haven't seen flights this low in yeeeeears!
Frontier has $29 fares each way for several mid-week and Saturday dates through mid-December. You need to pay $50 to join their club to get this price.
They do charge for checked luggage, carry on bags (overhead) and if you want to choose seats in advance. So depending on how you pack and the ages of your kids & comfort level with the possibility of sitting separately from them, it could cost substantially more.
I'm considering a long weekend in early Dec. and with 1 teenager who is an experience flyer we won't need to preselect seats. We could cram all 3 of us in 1 large bag and still keep it under 50 lbs.

So our price:$283.99 total or $94.66 pp. ($47.33 pp each way)

:cool1: :thumbsup2

How do you see this?! The lowest I see is $69 each way if you buy into the club. Was it a Friday sale?

It was on Thurs & Friday. I was on the fence about buying and when I looked this morning it was up to $69.

I booked $19 each way out of CVG earlier this week. even with the fee ... it was $55 RT for the 3 of us. into MCO. $55!!!! Crazy.

We flew Frontier last month, the only thing I'll do differently this time is pay for carry-on vs. checked. (we waited 2 HOURS for our checked luggage on our return flight )

Wow! You probably paid more in taxes than the base fare.

I hesitated because we just paid off all of our cc debt and don't want to get into that mess again. We already have trips booked for Sept and March so I'm content with that. Plus our ds18 is entering college in a few weeks and will have student loans. Not that I should stop living my own life but 3 trips in 6 would be a bit excessive. I should be helping him more with his loans rather than planning too many trips.
I'm glad someone was able to jump on it. Normally, I would. By the time dh warmed up to the idea it was gone.
