Just wondering if it would be nuts to start packing now . . . .

I've had the urge for weeks, but I've tried really hard to wait until a socially acceptable point. I don't want to have to lie about the suitcases to anyone who happens to come by.:p

I start packing 3 months in advance so I'd say sure, go for it! ;)

:bounce: :bounce: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!:bounce: :bounce:
That's the ONLY way to know if you will have room for those future purchases you will likely make at the Disney Store when you are there trying to get your quick Disney fix B4 you go....I proudly display my suitcases for all to see :p I live for travel!
Have a great time!

Pam

we leave in two weeks and I have NOTHING done.....NOTHING at all.....hubby has certain items that stay in his luggage and he takes it out the week before and throws it in the laundry for a quick freshen up ......he has the funny saying t shirts and shorts and his get chilly at the parks at night pants.......he is more prepared then I am....I had better get my list out

I have been half packed since my last trip in Sept and my next is hopefully this comming sept so i say pack away besides I doubt you will get a heat wave and need those clothes in the next 29 days.

good..glad to see everyone said yes...i have about that amount left before i leave too..i wanna pack!!

I know the feeling. It seems like if you pack sooner then the trip will come sooner. I usually pack about 3-4 days before the trip.

I'm still partially packed from September of 2001!!!

Now before anyone thinks I'm a lazy slob, it's mostly stuff I know I would never use anywhere BUT Disney World: 5 packages of rain ponchos; baseball caps; etc..

:teeth:

Pack away, pack away! I started about a month before our trip the last two times...first just stuff like ponchos, snacks I bought for the room, travel size toiletries....then I moved onto the clothes (I packed the kid's outfits in individual Ziplocs, like someone mentioned)..then a few days out I added a few more things, etc. I hate last minute rushing around. My husband LOVES it...so I packed all my stuff and the kid's stuff and he was left running around like an idiot. :p

I would since you don't want to wait to the last minute to find out you put away your favorite pair of shorts last fall with a stain on them that now won't come out. Also when traveling with a baby you need so many thing that it's better to start now than be running around at the last minute looking for something you thought you had.

I've been putting things in my truck for a while now. It seems to help pass the time better if I do a little at a time.

Hey, I'm 29 days out too!!! This was a long wait for us. We had to go without Disney for 2 months this time!!!:p
My husband and I usually pack ours and the kids bags the night before we leave.

I'm 29 days out too! Leaving 5/13! Hope you all remember to wear lime green!:bounce:

We're 11 days out (OMG!!!) and I too had our suitcases out at the 30 day mark. It's never too early!!! My mom had come over and seen the suitcases out early and of course thought it was hilarious, but I just told her the quote that is in my sig (Those who fail to plan, plan to fail) and she stopped thinking it was funny.

My DS's suitcase is totally packed, probably overpacked, I had to push down on it to get it zippered :) My DH is partially packed but I'm nowhere near packed! eek! I'm the family "packer" so they don't have to worry about what to pack, it's my job. I had planned on using just one checked bag and one carry-on for each of us but I might have to have 2 checked bags now that I'm going over everything I need to pack, plus I'm going to need some room for souvenirs! I think I'm going to go over my packing list right now seeing how I'm thinking about it! Have a great trip!!

I think that it is totally acceptable. I do it all the time. :D

Then you won't be wearing anything and messing it up until then. You also will forget less stuff.

I think it's fun to figure out how to fold everything exactly right, to maximize the amount of space.

Have fun!:sunny:

Come over and help me first!!! I am officially in the PANIC MODE!!! Today I made (hopefully) the last run to the store. Tomorrow I catch up on all the laundry and start the OFFICIAL packing - I have piles of things in different parts of the house and now I have to combine them. Got $$$ for tips and stuff at the bank today, got snacks and candy and put them in the kids bags - now they ALWAYS expect them when we go to Disney. :) What I really need to do for future trips is to make the specific packing list for our family and then make copies to check off for each trip. Reinventing the wheel every trip is not fun.

Oh, and as I always say before a Disney trip.....I've been trying to think of and remember to get everything for me and the two kids (5 & 9), and DH (I DO love him dearly..) will stand in front of his bureau the night before and spend about 5 minutes packing his stuff....ARGH!!!!!! :)

Hope you have a great time!!!! :)

Jill

It's perfectly acceptable-in fact, I'm going to start packing today, and we leave May 12!
