Our last trip to the world was almost exactly one year ago. We are going again in November, and I don't think I'll make it till then. I have got serious Disney Withdrawal!

I have been trying to fill the void with planning.
I have got a huge spread sheet with all the ADR's i'm planning to do, I have a spread sheet with all the fast passes I want to book, and now i'm just waiting for my window to open up.

But its not enough! How do you deal with your disney withdrawal?

Me? Mostly I read the DisBoards.

We got back from our 2014 Disney Vacation, and won't be going back until 2016

I love Disney, but we can't afford to go every year.:sad::sad:

So, in the meantime, I dream.. I plan pseudo-vacations... pretend like we are going, when would be a 'good' time, how much would it cost.. plan it all out on the disney website. And then close the window. Sometimes that cheers me up, other times, it worsens my Disney Depression! :p

Disney is my happy place.

We are at 254 days! I'm going crazy with planning. I stalk the dis boards daily. I follow about 10-15 Disney related groups on Facebook. It's not enough! It just makes me want to be there even more!

Know how you feel as I'm on a countdown to our next vacation but it's over 400 days (not Disney...but our trip after that will most likely be Disney World again). It's a tough test of patience.

Last year we booked Disney World in February for our Oct trip.

At least for Disney there are lots of things to plan...so start with ADR planning (if any) and even check out Quick Service. Then once you do that, you've got the rides to look at and come up with a touring plan (although you may already be aware of these if you were there a year ago).

And just stay on here to manage your withdrawal. Your trip will come soon enough and you've got something to look forward to.

I'm in the same boat! Not going until October 2015.

1) I read the DIS boards every day - studying up on FP+ since I've never experienced it before, magic bands, different resorts (just in case I want to change my mind, lol).

2) I've been studying the menus - working on WHERE I want to eat for all meals and what it will cost so I can figure out budget.

3) I'm a planner so I've been creating all these "pretty" Disney-themed planning sheets. I have one for Disney Budget, Disney "To Do", Disney Packing List, and Disney Itinerary. I just started designing 4x6 cards for each day of my trip... but I can't really finish them until I know my actual day plans which won't be until closer to my trip. Oh well, the "designing" aspect of it is FUN!

4) Planning out which parks on which days... but of course, this will probably get scrapped once Disney posts their hours for my time frame, lol. But it's fun anyways and it keeps me occupied :)

5) Look at my Disney To-Do List and see if there's anything I can actually do (a lot of it is time specific) or if I need to add anything to it... It keeps growing, lol - about 15 items on the list now!

Happy Planning!

I completely understand! We're about 230 days out now and it feels like it is forever. However, I'm not even ready to make ADR's yet, as we have yet to discuss it, but I have been pretty rigorous about paying down the total.... We're about 70% paid off now...

The last 60 days leading up to the trip seem to fly by. It's the lull that feels like time is going nowhere!

We are at 293 and it's killing me!! I'm so ready, am on the boards every single night....just makes me want it sooner. DH and I are planning on taking advantage of the BB offer while we are there, if it's a good one, so I don't have to drive him crazy planning so far out next time!

I am at 287 as well and going crazy! Lately I've been reading Walt bios and watching some of the park walkthrough and ride videos on YouTube!

:) I listen to my 40+ Disney Playlists on my Ipod, pad, computer, phone...in the car to work, back home again, on Saturdays when I am cleaning house, tonight while typing on the DIS....I make little luggage tags on my digital scrapbook program...fill in the blanks on my Disney Excel Spreadsheet, try to find anyone who will listen to me talk about Disney....share the excitement with people at work when I find out they have had recent trips or are planning. My reputation for being the Disney Freak is growing...:thumbsup2

Next trip is May 1-8, I get to make FP+ on March 2 I believe. :cloud9:

You are not alone! ::yes::

201 days here. I'm so excited to celebrate getting under 200 days ... that's sad :rotfl2: I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone. We plan on parks / ADR's / FP+ rides. We also decide on 'one' new thing. One year we did a carriage ride at PORS; another year we did Cirque de Soleil in DTD; twice we did the Wishes Dessert Party; and this year we are hoping to do MNSSHP (depending on how early they start in September). We've also discussed the Pirates and Pals cruise from the Contemporary. We save up extra money for this one special event each trip. I'm lucky that August hours just came recently, so I've been busy comparing most recommended vs least recommended parks. We don't do hopper passes, so it's important to have meals planned within our park choice for that day or at least near the park we are at that day. We are on a BB offer of free dining (for 13 days @ POFQ) so that's a lot of Disney dining. We also added on two nights at Beach Club (a great 'magical' deal we couldn't pass up). So I am now spending my days of dreaming my time in Stormalong Bay. We've stayed at POFQ so many times I can picture myself there (eating beignets) and taking the boat to DTD.
Sometimes we have Disney movie night and eat Disney food (example, we make ride krispy squares and shape them like Mickey heads). We buy gift cards while at Disney and use them for Christmas gifts (to use for the following trip). We also buy a bunch of $5 Disney gift cards to hide at Easter, rather than so much chocolate (DD's are teens now, but they still like to 'hunt' at Easter).
I also read the Dis, add to my 'pack list' which I keep around all year long, research menus on allears.net and listen to One Republic song (Gonna be a good life ... I think this is the title of song ... totally reminds me of Disney from the commercial). As a family we talk about Disney while riding in car (but not too much as DH isn't as fanatical as the rest of us lol)
We also try to save a bit of trip spending money each pay day (but Canadian to US dollars right now is painful ... just bought $100 US and it cost me $126 Canadian ... :scared1: yikes!)
Oh, I also like to help other people plan their trips to Disney and I can live through them!

Sometimes I think I need an intervention ...lol

We are going Thanksgiving Week and I also go on these and other Disney message boards just about every day. Our last trip was Dec 2013 and I can't wait to be back. We have all dining picked out with some old favorites and new ones and wish it was time to book. We are doing a split stay between Poly and AKL and have never stayed at either. We are doing the luau for the first time this trip if we can work it out.

me to I was just there in sept last year and want to go back but I have anthere year untell I go next time 1 year and 7 month untell next trip grrrrrrrrrrrr hurry up sept 2016 get here

We have decided not to go this year and I'm ok ish about it. Though I'm posting a lot on here as a support mechanism. It's tough not having this year planned in.
We will be heading back in 2016 and waiting to see what deals we get from here in the UK.

I know how you feel! We're going the last week of October and it's so far away! I discovered the podcasts a couple of weeks ago and have been listening to them back-to-back at work... I'm already back to 2013! Haha.

If you have a smart phone, get the Live365 app (it's free) and search for Disney World. I really like the Magic Band station. It's got some good on-ride audio. The MouseWorld stations have lots of area music, too.

YouTube videos of all the rides are big here, too. Watched a video of the original backlot tour the other day, though, and I miss it so much! :(

I went for a quick day trip back in December and when I got back my mom told me the whole family is planning a trip for next year and I CANNOT stop thinking about it. I've already started a PTR, looked at recommended days based on this year's crowd calendars, made ADR options and everything. I'm on the boards and the Disney fb group constantly, and we aren't going till Jan 2016! It's driving me crazy :dance3: I really just need to become a travel agent because I absolutely love it

243 Days! I was so excited when we hit 364 days as we had been counting down from Nov 1st 2013 which was the day we got back from out last trip. So under a year was a big deal lol!

We watch SeeYaReelsoon on YouTube. Watching their trip videos every Wednesday really helps with our Disney fix. I plan our trip obsessively, replan, then plan again. Do quotes, check for discount rumors (free dining whoop!), read the disboards every day. And basically stop at every Disney tv commercial, buy too much Disney related stuff, and look at our vacation pics.

Then I obsess about saving for our trip after this one and how we can go quicker than every two years haha!

126 days here! I booked our trip back in October with the holidays it helped time go by a little faster! Right before Christmas I booked our ADRS then got thru Christmas now I'm in full planning mode. The waiting for Fp is killing me. Until the Im on here ordering clothes for the trip and getting organized and picking up things we will need along the way for the trip so it helps. I know before I know it the trip will be here!

We have about 230 days left. I have sketched out a rough schedule of which days we will tour each park (based on last years crowd calendar which will likely be similar this year but I won't make dining reservations without consulting the calendars for THIS year).

Have not been since 2012 and we leave in 15 days. It has been a LONG TIME coming. The anticipation is killing me and 15 days seems so far away. I will be anxious the day we leave dreading when it will be over and I have to return to my boring everyday life. I get a bad depression when we get back. I wish I could live there.
