Yay!! 26 days until we leave for our trip. I have only been to WDW in the spring and I know spring weather in Florida can vary greatly. I have been to Florida all different times of the year except the end of October. I recently lost a a bit of weight and all my summer pants/shorts are big and it's hard to find any left over summer type clothing in Kentucky right now.

Anyway..before I order a bunch of stuff online.. what kind of weather can I expect the last of October? I know it is probably going to vary but will I need jackets, long pants, etc? Or should I try to track down some shorts that fit.... :hippie:

And if this is in the wrong place...sorry about that. :-)

Hey! I'm in Kentucky too! We are headed down the week before you and I'm packing shorts for us. It is typically a high in the low 80s with a low in the 60s. Obviously I will check the weather right before I pack, but I don't anticipate needing a jacket.

Most likely it's still going to be hot. But right around Halloween or first week in Nov. is sometimes when we get our first cool front, so you're just going to have to play it by ear and watch the weather. But light jacket should cover you, it really shouldn't get cold cold that early in the season.

We are going 10/28 -11/2 and I have researched the weather. The trends show daily highs in the 80s with over night lows in the mid-high 60s. Still gonna bring long sleeve shirts and rain ponchos!

We are going to be there at the same time this year. In the past, we have traveled the 2nd week of October, and while it was warm during the day, we did find that we needed a sweatshirt or light jacket later at night.

So I need to find some shorts or capris that fit!! LOL. Thank you everyone!!

I've gone the last 3 years the last week of October.

I am usually in shorts/tshirt combo all day. (I am warm natured) My 71 year old mom (not warm natured) has been twice during that time and wore capris jeans, light weight shirts and used a light fleece jacket 1st thing in the morning and later at night. However I always take one pair of jeans and a zipper fleece hoodie with me, just in case.

(this year is a big el Nino year, supposed to be wet and cool)

This year I plan on taking two pairs of shorts, one pair of jean capris (traveling in those) and one pair of very light weight khaki capris. Short sleeve shirts. One zip up hoodie. If there is a lot of rain forecasted (beyond the usual afternoon shower, which is never very bad) I may actually take my rain jacket instead of depending on my throw away ponchos.

This is a good time. I just bought the shorts for my MNSSHP, and the light weight khakis and only spent > $17 bucks. Both were on clearance.

Another Kentuckian - we will be there the same time. We were there the first week on Nov last year too and I wore capris and DH wore shorts the whole week. I did wear a sweatshirt in the evenings after the sun went down.

OP, I have the same problem. I've lost 44 lbs and all my shorts/capris are too big. We are going Nov. 9th-15th and I only have one pair of shorts, although a smaller than size than what I started out, they are still slightly big. And it's about impossible to find shorts now. I have plenty of short sleeve tops but I'm afraid I'll be too hot in jeans. Hoping for a cold front.

Just posted this on another post . . . I agree that it will likely be lovely late summer weather (mostly highs in the 80's).

One year a sudden cool front came through on October 28th. The temps dropped a good 20-25 degrees literally overnight. We were totally unprepared, even though we had been on several previous late October trips and done fine with shorts.

So my advice is to plan on mainly beautiful weather with highs in the 80's, lows in the upper 60's. But throw in some warmer clothes, too, just in case. I personally am going to pack a couple days' worth of jeans and long sleeved tops, plus a fleece jacket. Probably won't use them, but I don't want to get caught so unprepared again.

We're still selling short pants here (most shorts/capris on cleareance but crops and ankle pants are still full price) but then it's still hot here most of the day (our first real cold front is moving in this weekend, we're going to be in the 70's hahaha 60's at night).

I bought some stuff at Nordstrom Rack online recently. Decent prices on clearence if you like that style.

We just left disney today and it was hooooooootttttt. But we are from Michigan. So that prolly doesn't help lol

This will be our 4th trip in October. On past trips the daytime temperature has varied from the 60s to the 90s! You definitely need shorts, just in case.

Thanks everyone. I will just pack a variety of stuff and hope I can find some things to fit in terms of shorts and capris.

We're going the second week in November (8th-17th). DH, DS, and I are hot natured, so I will pack shorts and tees for us with a couple of pairs of jeans/long pants and a light jacket in case we need it for mornings/late nights. My parents are not hot natured at all. My mom is bringing capris/jeans and tees with a jacket. My dad will wear his 24/7 uniform -- long sleeve khaki work shirt, jeans, work boots (it's just his thing).

We've been down the first week of November for the past two years and it's been mid-70s to low 80s. In general, we were quite comfortable in summer clothes. We brought sweaters and light jackets. My wife and daughter used their sweaters a few times (more due to air conditioning than cold weather). I think maybe there was one evening that I wished I'd brought the jacket from the room.

Hi! I have lived next to Disney for 14years now, and there has not been a Halloween that was not in the mid 80's at least. It usually doesn't cool off til the 2nd week of November. I would check the day before you leave, weather here is very iffy.

Shorts and t-shirts for us, but packing a couple of sweatshirts just in case it gets cooler at night. We have gone 1st week in November a couple of times before and have needed a light jacket or a sweatshirt on a few occasions at night.
