Just returned from our budget 4 day trip from Sat - Tue- 2 adults, 3 DD's 13,10&5.
Highs
Character Interaction in particular with my 5 year old who was dressed in princess dresses throughout the stay and was constantly greeted with " Bonjour Princess"
Princess makeover, ultimate treat for any princess mad little girl.
Salon Mickey lovely doughnuts & muffins ( on previous 2 trips only had croissants and pain au chocolate). Sad to have sold my shares so made the most of our last visits and cast members very attentive.
Friendly cast members - didn't meet one unfriendly one and they really seemed to be in the Disney spirit. When validating our temp AP's the cast member wished my DD happy birthday for the previous week.
Studios opening for EMH on Monday and Crush being a walk on for a short while.
Princess Pavillion (also a low) my daughter adored meeting the princesses.
Cafe Mickey - read some bad reviews on the food but we were pleasantly surprised, not rushed to leave and met 5 characters.
Residhome val d'Europe - didn't miss being on site and found it much quicker and easier than the shuttle buses, also loved having the kitchen as could prepare a decent packed lunch and keep costs down. Will definitely return.
Dreams, well worth the late night.
Lows
Weather - Rain all day Tues meant all of the studios indoor shows were full so didn't get to see Stitch Live or Playhouse Disney. Hot day on Monday with no sun cream meant a few red noses but lovely day to watch Dreams with the clear night sky.
Princess Pavillion queues for tickets, managed to queue 15 mins on sat and then at time walked into Pavillion with no queue. Sun queued 20 mins but then 1hr inside Pavillion. Mon 30 mins for ticket 1hr inside in the heat and didn't get asked who we'd seen and ended up seeing Rapunzel again. Tue arrived at queue at 10.15 at 10.45 told no more tickets and would have to wait until 11.45 for next release. As we were leaving at 3.30 didn't want to chance queuing and getting a later slot so had to leave queue and DD was in tears. I think a full fastpass system would work better and all princesses available would make this a more pleasant experience.
Queues were unpredictable - walk on for pirates yet 1 hr queue for Peter Pan at same time. Seemed to be busier Mon/Tue than Sat/Sun and struggled to see parade, we'd found a spot easily on Sat 10 mins before it started and presumed we wouldn't have any problems on Mon but ended up being 2 or 3 deep by IASW.
