Ok so we left off doing the Pangani Forest Trail now it's time for Maharajah Jungle Trek:

So after we were done with the trails it was time for a beverage. I had read on Wigd's TR that the Lost On Safari drink was very good to off to the Dawna Bar we went. DH had the Draft Safari Amber beer & I had the Lost On Safari: Here is what my vision looked like AFTER drinking it

I have to say the Lost On Safari packs a punch!! It was very good & I was very HAPPY after drinking it So we had a little time before Festivle Of The Lion King so we did a little shopping. We went into Island Mercantile (love that store). I bought a shirt for my DH, an ornament for my Christmas Tree & something else that cost $26.95 but cannot tell by the receipt was the heck it was

So then we headed over to FOTLK. My pics never seem to come out good for this but I got some:

FOTLK is my favorite show on property hands down!! I cry everytime I see it and I have no idea why! I bought the CD for the car and I play it every now and then when I need a Disney fix.

Looks like your first full park day was off to a great start!!

I'm sorry we didn't get to meet up... We were so close but our timing was off... I actually called you as we arrived at the park, but you must have been either dashing to EE or riding and didn't hear me calling you!! If I'd known you were at EE we would have headed right over there! And our change of plans didn't help the situation!

Oh well... one of these days we'll make it work!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your day!! It was a sad one for us since it was our last day...

I also bought the CD this last trip. One of my MANY purchases at WOD later that night I love the music from that show!!

I know I was surprised when we sat down to wait for our ADR I saw I had a missed call. Yeah it must have been during our mad dash to EE. After seeing all the great pics from MeMom's report this morning I really want to go to a Disney store SOON!!

That drink was THE strongest drink I had the whole week. Yeah I love walking the trails. When the boys are with us they just want to ride ride ride so we do not always take the time but I want to from now on. Even if they are with us they can do their thing & we will do our thing. Maybe get another Lost On Safari drink

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been MIA for the week. Our tax bills went out on 6/1 so my office has been very busy!!

So we left off with a walk around the Tree of Life. Sometime between our walk from Asia to Africa I met some friends:

On our way back to Asia I mentioned to DH that we had not seen Devine this trip. As we were walking there was a crowd of people & my DH said yeah there is a character over there. Then I looked up & there was DEVINE:

I told DH to stand there & I would get both of them in the pic:

We figured we would go check & see what the wait was for EE as we had about 1 hour for our ADR for Yak & Yeti. We noticed Flights of Wonder was going to start but we wanted to see about EE so we headed over there & EE was DOWN!! So we headed back over to Flights of Wonder. They had plenty of room so they were still letting people in.

So after the show they asked us if we did not have anywhere else to be they needed to train a new bird & they needed an audience so my DH & a handful of other people stayed & they were training this cute bird:

They did not get too far as there was a Mommy bird that was trying to protect her nest & she kept dive bombing this poor bird so they sent him back & the show was over.

So after Flights of Wonder we still had a half hour before our 4:00 ADR at Yak & Yeti but I figured we would check in. My thought when making the ADR for this time was to maybe get a window seat & watch the parade. So we checked in & they took us in right away & we got a window seat but...there was a big old rock in my way!! There was a little spot where I could see the parade:

We had never eaten here before & it was very good!! We started out with a drink. I had the Shanghai Express (Rum, Fruit Juices) & DH had a beer

I had the pot stickers for an app & DH had the egg rolls (did not get a pic of his though)

For my meal I got the Mahi Mahi (Very good) & DH got Shrimp & Steak:

We both got Strawberry Cheescake for dessert. Again I did not get a pic.
After our meal we headed back to Beach Club. I took some pics when we got back:

We changed clothes as it was a very HOT day at AK & then we headed to DTD. I did not take any pics that night. I must have had shopping on the mind. And I did shop!!! I had been wanting a Chamelia (sp)?? bracelet so that was my first purchase. I got 3 charms to go with it. One is the Cinderella coach, & 2 Mickey charms. I also got some CD's (FOTLK & Wishes), cookie cutters, coasters, my DH got a few Grumpy T shirts. I will post all my souvie pics at the end of my TR. We headed to Basin so I could get the girls I work with some Mickey soap. So with 2 huge shopping bags we headed back to the bus stop. It was about 11:30 pm at this time. On the way back we stopped at Swan first & there was a wheelchair on board so our bus driver was trying to get up to the curb. Well she kept backing up & going forward & backing up & going forward. Then she would lower the bus & then she still apparently was not lined up so she tried to go forward but the bus was stuck because she did not raise the bus & then the lights were flickering on & off!! There were about 10 to 12 of us on the bus & we could not believe it. I was over tired at this point & just kept laughing. I could not help it. She also had the AC so high we were all FREEZING!!! After about 15 minutes of this she finally got it lined up. Even the woman in the wheelchair was helping the bus driver by looking out the window & telling her where she was as far as being lined up to the curb We all clapped after that was over. I felt bad for the bus driver after because apparently she was new or was having a bad night

So that was our first full day at Disney.

Great update from AK. Love the pictures. We really enjoyed Yak and Yeti when we went in August. We booked a noon ADR and it was perfect to get out of the Aug heat for a while! I quite enjoyed the food....I had what your hubby had and the mango pie for dessertl....I can still taste it

Great update! I would love to meet Baloo and King Louis sometime! The Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney movies! (One of our cats is even named Bagheera .)

Oh, I like the sound and look of the Shanghai Express -- that may be my drink of choice at Yak and Yeti this year.

Yes we enjoyed Yak & Yeti & would return again. My DH really enjoyed his meal

Baloo & King Louis were just standing there with no one else around!! I just walked right up to both of them.

Yes they had some very good drinks at AK. Between the Lost on Safari which you definitely need to try on your July trip & Shanghai Express was very good also!!

I'd love to have that kind of bookcase/seating arrangement in my den. Very cool! (Although I would change the cushion color.)

Beach Club is lovely in every picture I ever see of it and even moreso in person. I love just visiting the resorts - taking pictures of the decor, flowers, pools, etc. and looking around the gift shops. I could spend several days just resort hopping.

I know isn't that area of the BC so pretty!!

We never take enough time to resort hop. This last trip we did go to WL for the first time to look around. What a beautiful resort. I told my DH I would love to stay there sometime also.
