Recap, Thursday March 12:
Enjoyed 3 Meals - 2 at Disneyland & 1 at Paradise Pier Hotel
Rides: Jungle Cruise, Toy Story Midway Mania, Snow White, Autopia, Pinocchio, POTC, Pooh, Roger Rabbit & BTMRR
Extras: Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour, Tiki Room, Main St. Cinema, 50th Display in the Opera House, Billy Hill & the Hillbillies & Fireworks
WALK IN WALT'S FOOTSTEPS TOUR REVIEW:
We absolutely loved this tour for all the history & trivia we heard & saw. We covered a lot of ground during this tour but never felt we were running or rushing thru. We learned a lot of new things & we're Disney buffs. The lunch was very good (we chose the turkey sandwich on wheat....loved the bread, it came with fruit & cookies). This tour ran us $59 each & was well worth every dime.
BLUE RIBBON BAKERY DINING REVIEW:
This is a walk-up counter where you'll wait for them to fill your order. They don't have any seating, but you may find a table next door at the ice cream parlor (especially early in the day).
They have choices of muffins, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon twists, croissants, cookies, rice krispy treats, fresh fruit, milk, chocolate milk, standard drink selections & specialty coffees.
Muffins $2.59
Cinnamon Twist $2.99
Mickey Krispy Treat $2.99
Chocolate Milk $2.69
House Coffee $2.69
Small Milk $1.59
This is a great place to pick up a quick breakfast or a quick snack thru-out the day. The muffins are good sized & are fresh & moist. The cinnamon twist was not like the deep fried doughnut style, but flaky & light & very good. The Mickey Krispy Treat....what can I say.....it's always a hit!! (and rice krispies are a breakfast cereal....lol)
PCH GRILL DINING REVIEW:
This is a sit-down restaurant at the Paradise Pier Hotel. PS are recommended. You check-in & are seated, your waiter/waitress will take your drink orders as you look over the menu. You will order off menu which includes choices of:
Appetizers: Soup, Salad, Quesadillas & Cheddar Fries
Entrees: Burgers (including turkey), chicken, steak, fish-n-chips, pork bbq ribs, pasta, sandwiches, pizza & salads
Desserts: Ice cream, apple pie, cheesecake & brownies
Chicken Quesadilla Appetizer $5.99
BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger $7.99
BBQ Pork Ribs $20.99
Fish-n-Chips $12.99
Hawaiian Pizza $9.99
Kids Mac-n-Cheese $7.99
Kids Pizza $7.99
This was a very good meal at a place we may have never tried if we didn't try the character meal earlier in the week. The restaurant has a California/Hawaiian flare to it. The food was very good...no complaints on any of the things our family tried. My son got to do the kids Make Your Own Pizza!! He had a blast being able to assemble his own pizza. They brought out a board with the crust on it & then small cups with sauce, cheese & meat on it. After he puts it together, he gets to deliver it to the chef who will then put it in the wood fire to cook. The service was excellent. They brought us a large bouquet of balloons & a special dessert for our anniversary. It has a fun atmosphere that we will definately return to.
