Pete's announcement about the Marriot was great but not in our timeframe. What great deals are available for mid to late Oct. in decent hotels? We can't use our vacation club points because nothing is available and don't want to spend an arm and a leg and/or end up in a dump. I cannot believe how expensive the lowest rates are!

Thanks :)

Hey Pixie, remember that priceline deal at the BW LBV for $25 a night. Check www.biddingfortravel.com i'm sure people are still getting it last I heard. We are using that for our first night down in Orlando. Suppose to have spacious clean rooms. I called and she offered an upgraded del room with a sleeper sofa for an extra 10. I thought it was a deal.

If you are willing to stay offsite, you should definitely check out Skyauction.com and look at their ReadySetGo auctions. They sell tons of timeshare weeks in Orlando for dirt cheap if you pay attention.

We are going in early September and staying in a 2 bedroom condo at Orange Lake Country Club for $265 total. (The minimum is $196 because they add $195 even if you win an auction for $1.) That works out to $38 per night (including all taxes) and we get a full kitchen and full-sized washer and dryer.

They run several auctions, so if you watch you can get them in the $250 range. Just check availability at Orlando resorts, reserve the week you want and bid away.

IMHO this is the best offsite deal going for the offseason, because you can easily make breakfast and dinner in the full kitchen and save money on food, and you get to stay in a large apartment rather than a ratty hotel room. Give it a try!

Lol, at first I thought BW was BoardWalk and didn't know what LBV was, but I went to your awesome link and figured it out :)
Normally I am wary of Priceline after geting the worst rental car experience after bidding with them, but that site you linked takes a lot of the pain out of bidding :)

Pixie that was my first exp with pricelineever and i felt as though i'd won the dang lottery>LOL I have since bid and won a hilton in jacksonville fl for 38 a night. The ref. site is wonderful help for bidding purposes. Good Luck let me know what you decide.

I went under the post at the top of this board and entered my dates (12-1 to 12-8) and was given $29 for the weekday nights and $89 for the weekend. So, the $25 expires, but there is a $29 offer.
