25% off cheaptickets code

Does anyone know if you cancel how long it takes to reimburse the money back? I was wondering if it would be worth it to book with the 25% off and then cancel the original reservation I booked with the 20% code. It would be a difference of $84.

I originally booked my hard rock hotel for 19% off, then that same day they offered a 25% deal for a few hours only. I cancelled my 19% off reservation the same day I made it, and the credit showed up the following day.

Just booked my night at RPR for August 6 and used the code! It didn't save me 25% from the price that Universal is quoting on their site but it did save me $20 per room (which is about 7%) but I am one happy girl anyway!

Saw the discount too & Just rebooked Hard Rock for $161/night garden view from $214 pool view for 9/27 to 10/1 & saved $200!!! Not planning on looking out the window much anyway. Prev price was w/ APH discount & pool view was what was available. Very happy:):rockband::yay:

I changed mine yesterday too. Only saved me 25.00 but since there are no cancel fees I figured why not!!

Just got a new one in my email and wanted to share with my buddies on the disboards: celebrate is the code. Happy booking! Twenty more days until our trip! :)

Also, they've extended the dates, so you can use the code to book hotel stays thru 12/31/15!

Thanks for posting. I have held off booking our Universal portion of our trip until these types of codes came out. I wasn't expecting November dates to already be out so I hadn't been regularly checking. It saved me $135 on our 2 night stay :yay:

I just changed mine yesterday. Saved $35, which is not a lot of money, but as DH says it's lunch one day! We are going at the end of June so room rates are high then. anything helps.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I have an early October, 4-night package booked through Universal that includes 3-day park to park tickets and 1 night HHN for four. I priced through CheapTickets with the code but it doesn't seem to save me any money. The room rate is about $400 lower but when I add tickets then include an estimated cost for 4 HHN tickets it comes out pretty much the same or even a little higher. The price of the park and HHN tickets on the package are $1047.92. The price of the park tickets alone on CheapTickets is $830.64. As you can see the cost of adding HHN separately eats up the discount pretty quick.

Does Universal offer just the park ticket/HHN package or is that a vacation package benefit only?

Thank you so much for this, I have just cancelled my previous booking at RPR as this code saved me the equivalent of around $75 from where I had booked it previously. Very happy!

It's probably better for you to book everything separately. I'd book the hotel through cheaptickets using the code. The 3 day park-to-park tickets through Undercover Tourist and the HHN tickets through Universal (not sure if they're available elsewhere). Price each scenario out and see what works best.

Does anyone know why the price changes with occupency? The price doesn't change at Loews but when I add my they kids on cheaptickets or orbitz the price goes up. Thanks

For some reason they charge when you add the kids on. On one of the other threads someone called the hotel and they said to just add the kids when they check in. That's what I am doing for our reservation. I booked 2 standard 2 queen rooms with just two adults in each room and will add the kids when we get there.

I was wondering about the occupancy as when I booked the price for 2 rooms for 1 night was $626 for 2 adults and 2 children per room and without the kids its $537. If I don't book the kids in will this not effect the fast passes that we are given at the hotel? I am not sure if I should be worried about occupancy or 'risk' it to save another $90

From all the research I've done, it's a common glitch on Orbitz/Cheaptickets sites to charge add'l for children when they shouldn't. I made our reservation for just the adults and I'll add my kids when I'm there. It will not affect the express pass allotment, and there will be no further charges for adding them afterwards.

Would it be worth contacting Cheaptickets to get them to change my booking or should I cancel and rebook without listing the kids in the booking?

You'll need to cancel and rebook. They recommend booking your new reservation first, to ensure availability and then cancel the original one.

Did it and am happy to say my discount from the Universal Resort site is the full 25%. I will call reservations nearer the time to try and get the two rooms either connecting or next to each other and will add the kids then.

From my name you can see I am in Canada so with the discount and the exchange I am about where I would have been without the discount, this makes for one happy lady!
