Was looking at SW site and saw the 24 mos Passport that includes all 8 Anh.Busch theme parks. It interested me because while we are planning to do SW next year, we were considering going to BG-Williamsburg this year. I will have to run the math to see what makes the best sense, but meanwhile, some questions:

* What is the "ride again" benefit - how does that work?

* If one person buys a passport, what "privileges" transfer to the rest of his/her party? Obviously, if you all come in one car, you get free parking - but what about reserved show seating, early entry, dining discounts - is it only for the passholder, or does it also apply to a limited # of guests traveling with teh passport holder?

* I noticed the BG-Williamsburg passport costs less ($285 vs $310). I presume that's because BG-W isn't open year-round, for example, and some of the "privileges" that come with the passport are specific to the "home park". Just wondering if DH bought a BG-W passport and I bought a SW passport if we could "maximize" our benefits...(i.e. free parking at both, early entry at both, etc) or would it leave us with always one person "privileged" and the other like a lost bridesmaid left out in the cold (with the kids left in the cold too, no less! :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :sad1: :cool1: )

THANKS for any insight you can give!

SW and BGT operate the ride again differently, I don't know about BGW. at SW, you get out and wait for the next car. at BGT, you just stay in your seats.

for food and drinks, we've always just shown one pass and the discount is applied to the total.

for show seating, each person must have a pass, but we've had friends with us that have a silver or gold passport and been allowed to sit with us without a problem.

Perhaps OT; but I was very disappointed with our trip to BG Williamsburg...

lots of walking; not much riding; jam packed on an early Aug weekend

While a very pretty park; it just seemed to be a mish-mash as to themeing/ride selection.

Family was so let-down, i've been hard-pressed to get them to "give up" a day of their vacation to visit the Tampa site.:sad2:

Wow, most people in my family say BG Florida does not compare to BG Virginia. HS band visited the park when playing in DC and even my son who loves BG here said the coasters in Va were much better. If your family was bored there they might make a day at BG Tampa a really long day of complaining for you. ;-( Lots of walking and long lines during August in BG Tampa and to us it just seems hotter there than anywhere in Florida( we live on the East coast and I meltat BG if we go in August)

I think long lines are bound to be prevalent at the summer-only parks like BG-W, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. DH and I went to BG-W back in '92 and enjoyed it, but that was "pre-kids" so not sure how they would like it, LOL. We used to go to Sesame PLace up in PA on the day after Labor Day and that was GREAT - it's the last "full" week the park would operate before going into wkends-only mode. The schools in the area were all back in session, so crowds were practically non-existent. We felt like the Griswolds at Wally World - there were NO cars in the lot when we arrived, and darn few when we left! Hop on ride, hop off, hop right back on. Perfect timing. But once our kids got older and were also in school - well, we lost that option!

What about Water Country? How does it rate as a water park?
