24hr Day & FP+ Reservations

I just recently booked my FPs on the Disney site. I logged in right at 1am (that's when the opening was this past weekend instead of 12am) & got right on. However, I thought it was weird that on the 24hr day I couldn't book anything before 9:40am. Anyone know why? I was booking within a few minutes of the window opening so I can't imagine they were all gone.

The earliest I could get that day was a 9:15 am FP
