I have an F150.....but the bed deminsions should be very similar...I posted these last year sometime....
I finally got around to loading my cart into the bed of my truck. I know some of you have asked about how a cart fits in a truck bed thats less than 8' .....well heres some pics.
This is a trick I learned here on the DIS...
By lifting the tailgate this much,I should have no problem hooking up the camper and making turns.
The distance between the wheel wells, 6' or 8' is 4 ft, the problem will be towing with the tailgate down. That doesn't work, you can't make tight turns. Unless you can do what Rog did. But I think his bed is 6 1/2 ft. Not 6
The Ram 1500 bed length is 6'4". If you have a 4 seat GC with a rear foot rest you may run into the back foot rest extending to far even without the tailgate. You will have to make sure you can clear any LP gas tanks if you have any when turning or backing into your camp site.
