.

I don't want to be mean or cause any offense, but if I was having this kind of trouble with someone--MtOH or otherwise--they would get the ultimatum of show up or be stuck with what is chosen for you. If she keeps this up, I would politely toss her from the wedding party.

I'm sorry if I sound mean, but I would not put up with her crap. It's *your* wedding. She can suck it up and wear the color that makes you happy and fits your vision.

HA! i completely agree! im too lazy at the moment to scroll back thru your PJ, but isn't she the one that there were some maybe legitimate issues regarding her size and her age as compared to your other BMs? speaking as a soon to be 44 year old bride, i can sympathize a bit, but, honestly, if there were any any any way to give her an out without you having to have a "red queen"/bridezilla moment, i'd kick her to the curb!!!!!

haha!!! thats what they get when they go maid-zilla on ME!!!!pirate:

Hi Emilie,
just joining, your plans sound great so far!!

yur dress is lovely you look gorgeous in it!!

hope your bridesmaids dress appointment goes ok and MOH doesnt cause too much trouble....

I'm really sorry to hear about all of the MOH drama :( But I agree with previous posters that you shouldn't give up your wedding dreams because she is being difficult. You have been more than accommodating, you have tried to think of alternatives to suit her, and you have been really understanding - despite the fact that she keeps giving you a hard time about everything. I would sit down with her and just say that you understand that she might be a little self conscious right now, but you are not willing to compromise your vision. So if she really cannot wear the dress, tell her that you will not be offended if she steps down. This way it will be more her decision than you 'kicking her out'. I hope that it all gets worked out for you!

joining in...

Everything looks great. I can't wait to hear about you dresses tomorrow, i am having the hardest time finding bridesmaids dresses i like.

Your BM dresses are absolutely beautiful! And I'm so sorry to hear about your MOH drama- I really hope everything works itself out. It's your day! :lovestruc

They are very nice and I am so glad to hear the drama with the dresses is over! Can't wait to hear more!

The BM dresses are so pretty! I'm glad to hear it all worked out and hopefully the troublemakers will behave themselves from now on. ;)

Looking forward to hearing more.

Hey Emilie! Good to see you back! I also hated that stage of planning when you can't really do anything, but once you can start really planning, time really speeds up! I can't believe that your wedding is almost 9 months out! I keep thinking that 2011 is soooo far away, but it really isn't at all :scared1: I am glad that you got your tuxes and dresses picked out in the colour that you truly wanted! Hopefully you can post some invite pictures at a later time, I would love to see them :goodvibes

I am in the same stage as you, so much to do, but it's like you can't really do anything yet. It's frustatring. I hate procrastaing and I feel like I have nothing done, but don't know what I should be doing. LOL. It sounds like you have gotten some stuff done though. It's great you have the BM's dresses and tuxes all set! You are starting to get close!

As far as who is going to escort who down the aisle, I would say just wait until you know for sure if DF's mom is coming to figure it out, if she does, problem solved. If she doesn't, I think the way you are thinking would be fine. I don't think it would really seem like you were leaving DF's family out of it, it's only a short walk down the aisle. That stinks that some of your BM's won't be able to make it. I would look into doing a dinner rehearsal only because I would want the BM's there, since that's a special time to spend with your wedding party. Is there a reason you don't want to do a dinner?
