So it looks like I'm being sent to Florida for work. I can work in a flight into MCO, or a flight out of MCO, but likely have to use JAX for the opposite flight.
I'd likely get the evening on day(midweek) and AM to Afternoon on another day.
I have a valid annual pass.
I have marriott points, but not enough that I'd be able to blow them on the swan or dolphin. What other marriott options have a good reputation with a more modest points cost.
Solo, and I'd probably need a reggies revenge at Jock Lindsey's.
I'll have a car, but would be happy to park it and leave it while at WDW.
What would you do?

It's not the nicest hotel (kind of old), but I have stayed at the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista a few times. Its location is very close to the WDW property and the service there has been excellent. The prices are affordable.

Unfortunately, since Marriott took over, they increased the number of points needed. Under Starwood, a night was only 3,333-5,000 Starpoints (about 10K-15K Marriott Bonvoy points). Now it's more like 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night depending on the season which is still an okay deal.

Edit: I should note that they do charge a resort fee and a parking fee... which is quite unfortunate.

I'll second the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista recommendation. We stay their twice a year and it is great for what it is. The pool area is very nice and when it was a Starwood property I thought it was the best point value in the world. Now that Marriott has upped the points a bit, I still think it is a good deal. There are plenty of places nearby to walk and get something to eat if you'd like.
