:)

Hmmm.. Dson-in-law thinks he's getting 1 DVD.. DD thinks she's getting 1 pair of hard soled slippers.. DGD thinks she's getting 1 DSi game.. I really played up the "I can't believe they just raised my health insurance premium that high" card (actually that part is true - LOL) and how I was really, really not going to be able to buy anyone more than 1 gift a piece this year.. :rolleyes1

Christmas morning should be quite a shock to them..:rotfl:

Didn't buy a ton of things, but got some great surprises for everyone..:santa:

I got my DD11 Taylor Swift tix! She's coming to town in March. Tix went on sale last month and LUCKILY I got (2), as they sold out in SIX minutes!! DD heard it from a friend at school and told me. I was like, "Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry...I didn't even know they went on sale yet, the concert is so far off!" Every once in a while she'll mention it, saying things like, "I wish the Taylor Swift tix weren't sold out." She will be so surprised to find them in her stocking Christmas morning!! Can't wait!! :santa:

Cabela's 2010 Big Game Hunter with the gun Wii game for my DH. I told him it is out of stock every where and I can't find it except on eBay, and I wasn't willing to pay their prices.

I've picked up a portable DVD player for a steal. Both DH and DS have commented that it would be nice to have one but they think that they're more expensive than they really are.

My 13 year old daughter is an "as seen on tv" junkie! If it's in an infomercial, she wants it. (Yes I know she's weird...but she's a great kid too!)

This year she is dying for the "perfect square brownie pan". So that's exactly what she is getting. She'll be thrilled!!! even if it is a piece of junk.

and it will make a great cover for the ipod touch that is her real gift but that she doesn't think there is any chance in heck she is getting. Can't wait till Christmas! :yay:

lol coinkc, my dd is an "as seen on tv junkie" too!! i got her the 'touch n' brush' she's been dying for!! :thumbsup2

DS is a junkie too! He wanted a Pancake Puff for months. I got it and he wanted it used once. Now he is dying for the Snuggie. He isn't the lounge around with a blanket type at all so i'm thinking no way but for only $15 I might.

This my first year I have a real job and can buy sweet gifts, as well as the first xmas i am going home for in 2 years. My parents have no idea what they are getting, but I am getting them a Roku.

They will look at the box and have no idea what it is, but when they hook it up and realize that netflix is streamed to their tv... they are gonna be happy.

ds8 and dd6 are getting nintendo ds's--an upgrade from their gameboys. They are gonna paapooo in their pants for sure:rotfl::rotfl:

The day after Thanksgiving, my husband and I sneaked away and picked out a Great Dane puppy for my daughter. She asked for a pony or a dog, so we figured we are killing two birds with one stone.

A ping-pong table! They are gonna flip:)

DS14 wants one. I told him we could get one if we put it in his bedroom-:lmao: We have air hockey already and no place for ping pong (which is what I wanted to get vs the air hockey but lost out on that one). He isn't getting ping pong. He IS getting new golf clubs, which he needs but didn't ask for so I don't know if that qualifies.

My SIL has the brownie pan and loves it.

DD14 has asked for a digital camera, which she is getting. I haven't said she isn't getting this so who knows what she thinks.

DS17 asked for an Itouch-thinking he would never get one--and he won't---he got a Motorola Droid instead :lmao::lmao::lmao:

DD10 has been told that there will be no cell phone.....DH told her he wouldn't even have a conversation about it until next year. He's a big old softie and added her to our shareplan.....she's going to freak!! We're going to wrap it in a huge box and save it for last.....then call the phone right when she starts to unwrap it....should be priceless.

Even better is that the phone is free and I reconfigured our plan so that it's actually the same price per month with the 3rd line and all of the usage control features.:thumbsup2

I also feel like a complete heel because I told DH that I was cancelling the phone because she was being bratty this morning...definitely not normal for her...and she forgot half of her school books at home. Then she calls me to tell me that she had LOST her book that had a report due on it today :scared1: I was soooo mad...she's definitely not responsible enough for this phone....then I get a call from the school that she fell asleep in her lunch and has a fever of 102....poor baby's getting her phone.

That's exactly what we did.....we told DD9 we were getting her sister a cell phone but not that we were getting DD9 one. We went to the Verizon store (DBF and I were due for upgrades) on the pretense of getting he and I new phones, we told the sales person what we wanted to do (surprise the kids) and asked his advice on cheap but decent phones for them, we ended up with the Samsung Intensity's, 2 at BOGO and we only had to pay $19.99 for one of them. DBF and I got EnV3s and we love them. Anyway, we sent the girls to get ice cream next door because they were being so good while they waited and we got everything finished up while they were getting the ice cream and then we headed for home with our bags. Once there we wrapped theirs up in boxes, we set different ring tones for each one, then we put them in the living room on the coffee table, we got them from DD13s room and we each called a different phone and asked the girls what that noise was.......they looked at us all confused and then went into the living room, found 2 boxes wrapped in Christmas wrap using their favorite colors and they flipped......DD9 kept saying "I got a phone? You got me a phone? But I thought it was just sis. You got me a phone....you got me a phone...." she kept saying it until she said "excuse me a minute" buried her face in the chair and screamed as loud as she could....LOL It was definitely priceless!! :)

I've heard good things about that pan!! I bet she loves it! :)

I always like things that can do double duty--dog/pony, works for me :lmao: When does the puppy come home?

We pick her up Christmas Eve. :)

We are trying to figure out some way to hide her from our daughter until Christmas morning, but I'm fresh out of ideas. Anyone in the Seattle metro area want to house a puppy for a few hours?

What fun--how old is your DD? Maybe you can find someone to play Santa on Christmas Eve and have Santa bring the dog early so he doesn't get scared in the sleigh??? That way they can sleep by the tree together on Christmas Eve.

I wish I was in that area so I could but then again you may not get him back!!! So cute!! I've been looking at puppies online and hinting heavily but DH would NEVER go for it.:sad2:

That's a cute idea. DD is 10.

We had a dog several years ago that ran away (long story...he was a total sweetheart of a dog but a total pain in the neck) and my husband has resisted getting another dog ever since. The doesn't think under any circumstances will she be getting a puppy on Christmas, so she will FLIP.

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.

My husband completely shocked me when he suggested it. I had actually completely given up hope of ever getting a dog again, but I guess 3 years of wearing him down finally did the trick. ;);)

pixiewings71, how do your girls like the Samsung Intensity? That's what dd is getting. She wanted the Blitz..but I think it's only available on prepaid. Then she saw the twist..it looks fragile and it's $99.00..missed the $29.99 by a day. The Intensity looks like her cousin's LG Rumor , so I think she'll like it.

And I would SO babysit that cutie pie puppy...too bad I'm on the wrong coast. Adorable!!!
