Loving the start! Glad you really enjoyed Amsterdam but sorry to hear about the airport confusion.

Yay on relaxing in the Virgin Clubhouse and getting some food and drinks in before your plane journey :thumbsup2

The Heathrow thing was a bit of a nightmare, but the Virgin flight was fantastic.

Subscribing...how fun! Travel safe!

Thank you very much.

Thank you. We're really loving the beach club. We have a great room on the 4th floor, with a full balcony and a decent view of the lake and yacht club. Considering we only paid for standard view, I'm very pleased with the room we were given.

Wow! I wish I was going with you. I can't even imagine that much time in such a wonderful place. I hope you have an amazing trip!:beach:

Thank you. We've been saving for this for 2 years, and I'm not that keen on flying so like to make the most of a trip when I have to fly.

Beautiful pic in Amsterdam! On the edge of my seat! Can't wait to check back!

A little late as we just got back from our trip but I am in! Have a great trip!

Thanks very much.

We had a great flight with virgin, and arrived on time at 5 PM.

Here's a few pics of our plane food:

Pea and Basil risotto with prawns. The risotto was really tasty but the prawns were overcooked:

We cleared immigration incredibly quickly, and were at the Beach Club by 7pm. After unpacking and showering, we were ready for some food.

We’ve never tried Beaches & Cream so decided to give it a go. It was pretty quiet and we were seated immediately at the counter.

I had the single cheeseburger, which was really good. The patty was juicy and the fries hot and crispy, with good seasoning.

DH had the roast vegetable wrap with fries. He was expecting this to be hot, so was surprised when the wrap was served straight out of the fridge. The wrap was nice and soft, and the humus was tasty but he didn’t like the cold vegetables as they were slightly mushy.

I couldn’t eat all my burger as I was full, but DH wanted to try a sundae for dessert. We split the No Way Jose, which I had wanted to try for years. This was as delicious as I thought it would be. Chocolate ice cream, covered with hot peanut butter and chocolate fudge, topped with whipped cream. It was so good, but we were full and barely managed half.

We called it a night after this as it was now 2am UK time and we were so tired.

Glad you made it safe and sound...I must say your non WDW food porn looked to die for!

I hope to get to B&C next month, we are staying at the BWI so its super close, maybe for lunch one day?

The No Way Jose looks soooooo good, I have not had ice cream in forever (thanks lactose intolerant!) and I think I might have to sample a bit of that, just load up on the Lactaid pills first :rotfl2: I am a sucker for peanut butter and chocolate together :goodvibes

How is the weather in Orlando?

just found you over here:thumbsup2: have the most amazing trip and really looking forward to reading all about it:yay:

This may very well be my new favorite thread. :cool1:

Subbing...

That B&C meal looks great. You were brave to get that so late into your day. Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

I really wanted to try Beaches & Cream on our most recent trip, but we couldn't fit it in. After seeing the picture of that sundae I am going to make it fit in to our next trip! Yum!

That ice :mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybarcream looks awesome!!!! We always stop @ Ghirardelli's but we might have to do both this trip!!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 I mean PB & Fudge? Hello Vacation! :beach::earsboy:

Oh. My. Goodness. This would be a dream trip for sure!!!! Have a wonderful time. Really surprised at how fancy-dancy the food was on your flight!

I love B&C. Never had a bad meal here, although I think it's safe to say I'd skip that wrap. I don't mind eating vegetarian, and we do 1-2 times a week, but that didn't look appealing if it was cold.

Have a magical trip! Cannot wait to read all about it. I'll wave as I walk by your resort--we'll be there Sept 23-Oct 2.:thumbsup2

After two whole years away from Disney we’re finally heading back. As usual we’ll be doing a lot of eating as we have the deluxe dining plan for 15 whole nights, which will mean tons of food porn!

This will be my third dining report on the Dis, and our fifth visit to the world. If you want to read my previous reports you can find them here:

2009 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2275706
2008 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980338

Who are we:

Me: 31 years old, will eat pretty much anything unless it’s spicy. I have a love for cocktails and desserts and can’t wait to indulge in both on this trip! I’m the planner of our trips, and have driven DH mad for the past six months, constantly tweaking our ADRs and resort (I think I've had seven different hotels booked for the last section of this trip!!)

DH: 39 years old. If you’ve read my previous reports you’ll have seen that DH was completely vegetarian, eating no meat or fish. In the past two years he’s started to eat fish occasionally when dining out, so this time it will only be a partly vegetarian report.

Where are we staying:

This is going to be our longest trip yet, from the 8th September until 1st October!!
15 nights at the Beach Club on the DxDDP
5 nights at Royal Pacific Resort, where we’ll spend time at Universal (can’t wait to see Harry Potter), go to Halloween Horror nights, and visit Seaworld for the first time ever.
Finally 3 nights at the Contemporary, where we plan to enjoy the F&W festival and MNSSHP.
