23 days, yeah! No Magic Bands...boo!

Our customize deadline is Nov 18. We check in on the 29th (but will be leaving home the 25th to spend Thanksgiving with family in FL).

I could understand it being so close if I had booked at the last minute, but we made the reservations months ago.

I think I'd go ahead and call. We check in on 11/30 and our deadline was 10/30. I wouldn't trust having the deadline so close to your vacation.

Called cast member and said they were at resort when we arrive

We got here Sunday and they were here- correct colors too!
 
We arrive on Nov 30th as well and ours says personalizing, check back for shipping details. I'll give it another week and I'll call if I still haven't gotten them yet.
 
Hi All! I am stressing out too! Our trip begins on November 28 and it still says: "Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details." I plan on calling by Thursday or Friday if I don't see any change. Part of the fun of the trip is getting "Mickey Mail" so I hope they will get everyone's done soon!

Exact same boat for me! Arriving Nov 28th and I still have the same message and have had it for days! Eeks! :scared1:
 

Got mine last week. Leaving Thursday. I have several sets and these took longest to receive.
 
DD also arrives Nov 28 and have had the personalizing and will ship soon message for about a week
The rest of us arrive Nov 29 (she will be at a different hotel and then switch) and ours shipped 10-31 and arrived Monday.
 
Just guessing but with talk that people are booking rooms and cancelling after they get their bands maybe Disney is trying to stop it by waiting till you have to pay a cancellation fee..or they are super busy this time of year?:confused3
 
Sounds like this is a huge issue lately. We went in July and had our bands about a month before we left! We got them so early that I was afraid I would forget where I put them for "safe keeping".

This time, we leave on the 27th and it still says check back for shipping details. I don't want to pick them up at the resort. The kids are really excited to get them in the mail!
 
my dd has been anxiously checking the mail daily. I hope them come without having to call. I will give it til next week...
 
My magic bands shipped yesterday, 20 days from Check-In day. They were sent via USPS with estimated delivery next week.

It seems that they are shipping them later now. Like pp said wait 10 days after the customize date and if you do not see a tracking number then call.

This time around I did receive an email and the tracking number was showing on my MDE account. Previous trip I did get an email but after they were delivered telling me they were shipped :confused3

I'm at 18 days, and mine still haven't shipped. Our friends are arriving 2 days before us and got hers last week. :confused3

It seems to be very random. I will call this number 407-939-4357 since you are 10 days after te customization date this is the one posted on other threads.
 
I called the number posted above (407) 939-5277...I can confirm it's the correct department to get some answers :thumbsup2

The CM I spoke with checked for a hold first (there wasn't one). At 10 days past the last day to customize the bands (which will be Thursday for us), if they still haven't shipped, then there is a process that he can start to expedite them. They won't start that process until 10 days past that customize deadline.

If you're having trouble, I would say to call and find out if there is a hold on your bands (that's the first thing he checked for us), and if there's not a hold and they haven't shipped by 20 days out, call back and inquire about the form to expedite.

We still don't have a shipping date, but I feel better knowing a little more about the process and knowing that they have a way to expedite if it hits 20 days out.


Well...I called today because it's 20 days out and that's what the CM said to do. I should have gotten his name because I made zero progress today and the CM I spoke with said they wouldn't consider the expedited process until 2 weeks before the trip. :badpc: She did say the volume is high because of Thanksgiving week and that may be what's holding it up. She also said it's "not unusual for them to wait to ship until 2 weeks prior to the vacation." I felt a little bit like I was being assured/handled again versus being assisted (i.e. diffuse the situation, reassure the customer, etc.)...but I guess I'll wait till two weeks out and call again if they still haven't shipped.

Worst case scenario, we didn't have plans to go to any parks on the day we fly in, so we could decorate our bands when we get to the resort...and hope they dry by morning. We've been following the "has anyone decorated their magic bands..." thread on here and have been looking forward to decorating ours...otherwise I wouldn't really care if we didn't get them till we got to the resort!
 
I am sooo glad I saw this post! Our trip is 30 days away but I am anxiously waiting the arrival of our Magic Bands to reveal to our kids that we are going to Disney next month. :cheer2: Well sure enough they were on hold when I called! They were on hold because of a name discrepancy.

We are also waiting for our bands (12/1 arrival) - I called & had basically the same conversation with the CM that you did. Maybe it was the same CM. :rotfl: He said the bands were showing as "in fulfillment" so I'm guessing there weren't any holds and some orders are simply taking longer these days... :confused3

He said they could move to expedite beginning 11/11 but I'm hoping I won't need to call back.
 
Arriving on 11/25 and I just got the email today saying our bands have shipped.
 
Hey guys, just wanted to follow up and let you know I just received an email saying our Magic Bands have Shipped! The bands are for the first day of our resort stay starting 11/27.

They're coming guys, just keep checking your emails!!! Hope you all enjoy your trips!!!!

We're All going to Disney World!!!!!!!!! :)
 
My arrival is 11/18. When my customization window ended on 10/18 I kept watching and .... nothing.

Since I saw here people having problems I cheated and emailed IPO (staying CL) on 10/29. On 11/3 still no change I emailed again saying "I was hoping you would have better luck with IT than what I read on disboards. I had told mom she would have before we go(1st trip) but we are fine getting them at the resort , thanks for trying."

I got a 2nd email an hour later they had contacted IT and I would have them soon.

I then got the email they were shipped late 11/4:thumbsup2

My delivery date is 11/9-11.

(I really was happy they provided that extra help :) )
 
Hi again! I just wanted to update everyone that we arrive on November 28 and I just received an email saying our magic bands have been shipped! I hope everyone else gets the same progress!:cool1:
