I will give you a bit of advice my DH gave to me when I was planning the wedding and spending insane amounts of money.

He said that you don't need all the bells and whistles. The fact that the wedding is in Disney is unique enough and people will love it. You can't beat the different locations Disney offers and Disney goes into so much detail with their locations (well most of them anyway) that no matter what, people will view it as a unique wedding. This is the speech he gave me when I wanted strands of crystals all over. I still got most of my crystals.

Tamu Tamu and even the WP have so much going on with their decor that little inexpensive touches here and there will make it look impressive enough.

I think that if you have to cut out the linens, black standard linens with the rust colored napkins and the lanterns would still look great.

With you cake, can you make it a two tier? We had 34 people and had a ton of cake left over with just the one layer (we took the top layer to our room).

Well first of all we are still working on cutting the floral. I am not ok with almost $5000!!! We probably aren't doing the photo package...I know people disagree but we are ok with it. I'm not sure about the floral moving fee since we never talked about having the carnation pomanders at AK We have lots of wiggle room, we just have to sit down and do it. Lots of people have done weddings for the minimum (especially at the WP )

Will Disney allow outside floral? That might be a way to stretch your dollars quite a bit, and then if you did want to use some of your floral at the reception maybe have a friend or close aunt or someone bring it over. That would free up a big chunk.

The WP is definitely where the wedding will be, but thanks for the suggest.

Is there a particular reason you want the WP? It's not themed and looks like other chapels out there (not a bad thing. I do think it's pretty; heck, I even like the carpet).

If you switched to AK for the ceremony, it would save money on flowers/transportation/etc. You wouldn't need all the floral. The site fee is probably less. You could have photos taken there (of course you would have to go with Disney, but since you already want a AK/MK shoot, you aren't that opposed to them).

I think that would be more memorable than the WP.

I don't know if I've ever seen a PJ that expands as quickly as yours does I know the initial BEO looks totally overwhelming but I have no doubt that you will get it trimmed down and still have an epic amazing wedding! I have been trying to talk DF into upgrading to a Wishes wedding lately and "sticking to the minimum" but it's amazing to see how quickly all the extras add up- think I'll stick to my Escape

Not having the WP isn't an option for me either, I haven't even seen it in person, but I already think it's the most beautiful looking room! In my eyes the other locations don't even compare.

Pezaddict-I totally agree. My mother and I were both in tears when we went to see it in Feb. Actually, I think the words that I used in my PJ was that my heart stopped momentarily. Pictures don't do it justice!

I'm with you. The wedding was just a means to an end. I wanted to be with my DH and so we got married. I would like to do a VR, but again want a very small, private ceremony.

I think that some people want to impress others. They copy others (while taking a cue from others is fine, some copy everything from a headpiece to favors). Or they spend way more than they can afford to just so they can start the latest fad.

I didn't care if my wedding was epic either. I did my PJ to try and help future brides but I could care less if anyone liked what I was doing. It was epic to me and DH!

I was trying to make a simple wedding that would be classic and not fussy. I had a cruise wedding so all my money saving steps are not applicable here. The only thing I can offer is try to make a list of what you want and stick to it. This keeps you from having multiple hair pieces, shoes and jewelry.

I have been to Las Vegas! Mom took us to see the Backstreet Boys... in concert! Ahh, the 90's... Agreed, no interest in ever going back though!

And ok! You should ask for pictures of those locations too! I like pictures. But, let us just hope for no rain whatsoever. Rain is bad.
