Oh you girls win...I did type in Jordan, not sure why. He just creeps me out. Danny is much better looking:rotfl:

Haha oh doesn't it??!?! Lol, I figured you and Sarah would like it ;) I think that it's not likely to rain but I'm not trusting my odds!!

The giant glass wall with the t-rex skeleton totally fits in my my classics/archaeology minor! ;) I wouldn't mind that in my house! :rotfl:

Well I'm not going to panic about anything. And even if it did end up there, it would ruin anything. It's not my favorite place but I still get to marry Eric:cloud9: I am going to ask about another location just in case :goodvibes

Perhaps they could add a top hat to the t-rex skeleton, and a bow tie, to class it up some for a wedding! :rotfl: It's an okay location, just too many colors to be useful for a wedding I think. :thumbsup2 Tusker House (from pics I have seen) would be a much nicer, neutral option.

Here are a couple pics inside Tusker house...would totally fit our theme better!

I was so in love with donnie although now i think danny is actually better looking then donnie-lol how your tastes change as you get older(and i am old!!). i do think they all look good though i am bias since they were my first loves!!!:lmao::rotfl::rotfl::lmao:

sorry to highjack with the NKOTB pics, it just makes me feel young! anyway, i like the tusker house for your inside location. it totally goes with your theme. i hope you can talk to your planner and they are able to work it out.

Ahhh memories.....how I loved Joey. He was going to be my future DH when I was 12. And yes, I did plunk down $80 to see them on their reunion tour last year, and it was AWESOME!!!! :cool1: Funny, I was never a Donnie fan when I was younger, but he did look good at that show last year!

Ok, back on topic, I think Tusker House fits in way better with your theme and could kinda be an cool backup rain location. :)

Um first i'm praying for NO RAiN!

second i'm praying you can get tusker house instead of that dino lounge thing.... Yuck!

Phew just caught up. I say get rid of as much floral as possible and some food, keep Mickey & Minnie and the pink rolls, do Sarah's cake, and think hard about the MK shoot, I got rid of that because the quality of photos really varies and is a risk. That is just my thoughts anyway, you pick whatever you want.

I was playing around with our BEO today and that was one route I went. I love the flowers so much but they are just so overpriced...well everything is, but ya know we have the flowers for less time than anything else. Thanks for the reccomendations!

i agree with the flowers... i mean they are pretty but in all honesty its not like they serve much of a purpose other than to look pretty. and its not going to effect anything if they aren't there. the WP is amazingly beauitful in itself and for tamu tamu... well that is just such a unique and stunning venue that it wouldn't take away from the over all effect if floral wasn't there. just my opinion though

I know you girls are right...I just love the pomanders and am having a hard time parting with them!!! Geesh I'll drive myself over to the WP instead of using the limo, then can I have the flowers:rotfl: J/K I know they are probably the least worth it on my list. Maybe I can have 2 smaller ones instead...

I think the reason why they didn't say tusker house is because with it being an EMH night it should be open to the public.

How much later is the park open that night?

Yup that's what I thought after I posted it. Park is open till 8 that night.

I really haven't seen this...not sure who this is in reference too (nor do I really care). I think that the internet is a great place to get ideas, and lots of brides get ideas from someone else. No one says every piece of your wedding must be totally unique. If you find something you like and want it, then go for it. I see it ALL the time here. Nothing wrong with that:thumbsup2

I did say that taking some ideas from other people is OK. From what I saw, some people try to copy almost everything (of course, they make small changes so they aren't exact copies). Still, you can tell by reading their plans. I won't say names, because I don't want people to feel bad, but it's pretty obvious.

As for the backup location, I will hope and pray that it doesn't rain. That room is not good, especially if all you are doing decor wise is a few lanterns. It definitely doesn't have the feel I think you are going for. Heck, I would rather have a reception at home instead. Hopefully, your WP can come up with either a better place or have ideas on how to improve the location. :wizard::wizard:

Oh, and I was a total Donnie fan.

Ok, so I don't normally tell personal stories on the internet, but here's my Donnie Whalberg story.

My first "real" career type job I worked for Onstar. This was back in the day when it was deal-installed and only on Caddys. I did Dealer support- technicians would call us when they couldn't figure out how to install the darn thing.

We went through a recall due to a bad part that supposedly could explode (!) and we had to call all owners of vehicles- mostly brand new Escalades- and let them know they needed to get thier cars in to the dealers ASAP for the recall.

I called my list, including a former president, several top tier athletes and a very famous actor. In many cases I spoke to thier "people" and in some to the celeb directly, no problems, very professional. Until I called Donnie Whalberg. I dailed his phone number, and the minute I heard that rough voiced "hello" I was instantly back in junior high, I couldn't get a word out of my mouth and hung up in a panic. I tried twice more and each time I totally freaked and hung up. I was so ashamed of myself- and then when I looked at my clock and realized it was 8am where I was- and therefore 5 am in CA! Totally mortified. I had to ask one of my male- and therefore totally unimpressed-co-workers to call him back later in the day.

Anywhoo- Mandy- have you thought about asking your coordinator for ideas what to do to spruce up the Dinosaur Lounge if you have to use that location? I know nothing would be ruined since you'll be marrying your prince :lovestruc and that's a good attitude to have. Still, if you end up there you might as well have a back up plan to turn it into something special. I am wondering if your coordinator has maybe done another wedding there and has some ideas of what has worked well in the past?
