...

The first three or four you posted look great! :thumbsup2 Your hair looked amazing (before it fell apart) and the dress really brings out your eyes and hair color! :goodvibes

Now as far as the bad, your hair falling out is unacceptable! We pay them good money for our hair to stay in place and look great all day long! It looks like there weren't enough pins or hair spray. My hair stylist also told me that whenever you are doing curly for your hair you need to put it in rollers and then ALSO curl the pieces so the curl holds all day. I'm no expert, believe me, but I think you should find someone else to do your hair for the day of. I know you won't get a trial run with them but a lot of people really recommend Patricia. I haven't seen too many have their hair fall out!

As far as Randy's pictures I am going to sound like Toni here but I am not a Randy fan. His pictures do seem very amateur to me. All the basic editing and lighting problems are photog 101. But that being said I have seen some very good pictures done by Randy. I'm not sure if he's starting to lose some of his talent or what is going on but your pictures are not up to par. I would definitely let him know that you're unhappy with the pictures. If anything to help future brides who are using Randy as their photographer.

Okay, stepping off my soap box! BIG HUGS! :grouphug: Everything will turn out amazing and magical for your wedding! :goodvibes

I can understand why your so upset. The ones that you did like are cute. But the bad ones....are bad. I hope you get a deal or something. I'm sorry it went so badly

I had a thought..Are you suppose to pick the ones you like and he prints those? I don't know how Randy works but maybe they are lesser quality for you to pick so you don't go off and print them yourself? Know what I mean? If he doesn't give up the copyright, he could make them a lower pixel quality just as a proof.

Your brick archway pictures reminded me of mine on my rainy wedding day and they came out much brighter. Something strange about that. I hope he fixes the situation for you. :headache:

Here is my arch picture

Yours should have been just as bright.

Toni that pictures is beautiful!!! And just what it should look like. And if for some reason the lighting that day wouldn't have produced a picture like yours, then he shouldn't have taken them.

Hey Mandy,

I had Randy for my wedding day and I felt like you are saying the same thing that happend to me. Too light...too dark...why do I need 50 of these... weird angles. I cried when I saw my wedding pictures. I still dont love them but I do have a few favorites. I have a couple hundred on the beach at the GF that I dont like at all. It was an overcast day so the sand, water, sky and my dress all blend into one. I hope that you find another photographer. I wish we had used someone else. When I was waiting for my pictures he posted a wedding the week after mine that turned out beautiful. WHen I e-mailed him I got my CDs in the mail soon after. Maybe he realizes that they are not up to par and held out on sending them. That is how I felt about mine.

I never told him I dont like my pictures. THis is also the first I am posting about it here on the DIS.

Here is a link to some of my Randy Pictures. These are from the WP. Alot are too dark or too bright. WE shouldnt have to fix our photographers work. (these are also not all bad but it give you an idea of what we got)

The "artsy" picture where you guys are blurry and you see the green perfectly... I'm with Eric. You want to see you, not greenery.

I'm sorry you're so unhappy with them.

As far as your deposit, he should give it all back, contract or no. You're not happy with his work. It's a weekday wedding. He should do the right thing. He's not losing anything by giving back your money. He got the money for your photo shoot and gave you sub-par pictures.

Hopefully for you he's a good business man and gives back your $900. Otherwise any other bride who books him after this, I feel bad for them. I think Randy is very stale and past his prime and just not a very good photographer.

Good luck with finding someone new, I have my fingers crossed for you.

The pictures you like are really cute.
Bad, blurry pictures, not so much, and I'm sorry you had an experience like this.
I hope you have a great photog lined up and get everything you want and more from them! pixiedust:

Ok first I have to say what a beautiful bride you were!!! I always think that when I see your pictures.

But I totally get what you are saying...and I see a lot of similarities in your pictures...too dark, too light. I am so sorry that this is the quality of work you received for your wedding:hug:

Also, thank you for posting. I know it's hard when you post something like this on a site where Randy is so famed. But we have the evidence...bad pictures!!

Thank you. I just received a message from him and he says he hopes we can work it out and not lose me. I don't feel there is any other option. I am not using him for the wedding and I can only hope that he gives me back some money.

I agree with your comments on Randy being past his prime...I think he has become so popular and just can't take the time to give quality pictures. I am so glad I found out now.

I will come back and post after I talk to him.

Thank You! That was only a fraction of the pictures you should see all the bad beach pictures. Like I said we got some great pictures and Randy was great to work with. I guesss I was expecting more.

I hope that he will give you some money back or you can come to some agreement.

DId you get your dress from target?? It looks alot like the one that I wore for our photoshoot at AKL!!!

I just wanted to add that I worked on Main Street (east) in 2006 during my CP, and Andrew and I had our frist date at Bomas on 3/3/06!!!

Those pics are stinky! I always thought Randy was better than that. They really do look low quality and low craftmenship. I bet Lauren could have taken much better pics!! But before the hair disaster, you looked beautiful!

Nicsnick,

I am sorry you had a bad experience too with Randy. Maybe is is really overwhelmed since he has become so popular?

By the way, you had some of the prettiest Disney photos I have seen. :goodvibes

Oh man, I definitely see what you mean. I don't really understand the lighting issue, we had over 300 epics and not a lighting issue in any of them. Even I can fix that using my mac, so no reason Randy couldn't have worked with them a little. Not that you should have to fix them, just saying even a regular person could do it.

I'm thinking he must give you all the images and doesn't sort through them to give you the best of the shots. I thought most photogs would go through them first and take out the ones that were blurry, weird light, people blinking etc... isn't that part of their editing process?

I do like the "artistic" shot, but why wouldn't he go over to a part of the bush that was fresh and green, that part is kinda brown and wilted. Again those pics are fine if you had some where you were in focus on the flowers were blurry too.

As for the pics with you in focus and DF blurry, you may need to tell your photog specifically that you don't want that. I have seen many e-pics like that and we definitely have some too. I personally like them when they're done correctly, but I wouldn't want all my pics to be like that.

I hope he calls you back soon and refunds part of your deposit. I think it's good that you're sharing your experience, because I know a lot of brides on here rave about Randy and I'm sure a lot of people book him based on that. It's always good to know the positive and the negative.

Hope it all works out!

He might be but if he is he should take on less brides.

Thank You!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my MK and EPCOT pictures.
