...

I showed my mom the bouquets and she said she likes the white and blue one but thinks I should go with fuschia to match Eric's tie. Here are a few I found... I have to admit I :lovestruc pink!!

I kinda like this with a mix of pale and fuschia:

So of the really bright pinks I like that one the best. I do love the pale with fuschia one too though. I think either would work. You could even put a fuschia ribbon around the pale and fuschia bouquet to pull the tie in a little bit more.

That's pretty:lovestruc

No, not in the photo. I had just taken them off when we took the photo. WHEN I have them on the dress is the perfect length.

Okay, good. I was a little worried. LOL!

That looks very nice. What all is it made of?

It's listed online as an Orchid. Not sure if it's real or fake...I wouldn't mind silk bout's for the men!

We did all silks at our wedding. It turned out really nice. And we didn't have to worry about things wilting. I know some people hate silk flowers and think they are tacky but I am happy we did it. And I still have my bouquet and it looks just as great now as it did then.

that green palmy/thingy is sold in the silk section of Michael's..I had it in my bouquet and when I did my remake, I put it in there.

So I am having an incredibly bad week at work and this morning was just the cherry on top.

First my job officially changed. I am trying to see the positive in it. I was promoted back in May and it's finally taking affect. Unfortunately two parts of my job that I LOVE were "taken" away. I know it's a good thing. My boss told me I did very well and they are just moving forward (and up). But I really enjoyed those parts to my job.

The second thing is I found out my time off for our honeymoon was approved...unpaid. So we no longer will be going for 2 weeks, we just can't afford 2 weeks unpaid. We only earn vacation time on a monthly basis and I have used it all for 2009. So come March I will have a whopping 16 hours. So we decided we will only go down for the week which gives us a whole 4 day honeymoon.:sad1: I am trying to change our flights now...jumped the gun on that one since they were such a good deal. Also trying to sort out the hotel situation.

Blech.

If you COULD afford the 2 weeks, your boss has approved it?

If you buckle down and start putting away some money each week, could you take the time off? Maybe sell some items on Ebay?

I mean this all in kindness and please don't be offended but are you sure you can afford this wedding? DH and I went through financial troubles years and it's so hard and stressful, it can really wreck havoc on your marriage. We made it through but it was a long, tough haul and no way to start a marriage.

Just make sure you can honestly and truly afford a Disney wedding without the use of credit cards, loans etc.. if not I can promise you that years of paying off debt won't be worth the "dream wedding". I say this as a BTDT person who doesn't want to see people get into the same debt trap we did.

I wish you nothing but the best Amanda!

Oh dears! :sad1: That is sad news. Maybe since you are doing the shorter honeymoon, you can plan a second one for later on in the year? Maybe go someplace nice for Christmas! That would be a nice way to spend your first holidays as a married couple. :goodvibes

We do plan on going somewhere later in the year, definitely. I just broke the news to Eric and he's not happy. My boss is usually very understanding about this stuff. It's not policy but if a manager agrees to it you can use vacation time you haven't earned before. I figured since it's our wedding she would be flexible.

Well that is good. We can help you plan that trip too! :goodvibes Just have to make the most of the days you have in Disney during your wedding time. :thumbsup2

Sorry I have been MIA. Work, school, gym, and hubby have been killing me :lmao: I have only been randomly posting- not really keeping up on any of the PJs anymore.

That is exactly what we did. Since we paid for the wedding ourselves all we could afford was a few days at Disney for the HM. Our splurge was we stayed Deluxe at the GF since it was our HM but that was it. Just a few days. 4 months later we went to Barcelona when we could afford it, and we still felt like Newlyweds and ate out at fancy reaturants every night because we could afford to because the wedding was behind us :)

I know the economy is improving but there are still tons of people looking for jobs so I would not reccomend taking any time off unpaid, especially in a newish position. I don't think it looks good. I know this is a once in a lifetime event to us, but to them it is still a business that has to be run.

Good luck lady! :goodvibes

Oooh, Barcelona... that sounds fun! Go someplace cool like the Mandy! Like Greece! Or Rome! Austraila! And take me with you! :rotfl:

We are...I am upset about it but Eric was worse. I am trying to show him we can still have a great trip.

Yup! I am very thankful to have a job, and it's not that I think it's unfair but I am still disapionted. Your honeymoon trip sounds amazing! We have always wanted to go to Greece but I think that trip will have to wait...it would take me FOREVER to save up that many vacation days, lol!
