Bobby didn't care if I wanted pink or any color for that matter but he was so mad I made him wear a pink rose.

What if you did the pink and green during the ceremony and then when you get to the tamu tamu reception do bright greens and blues. I think the pink and green would look very classy and chic in the WP and i think the bright jewel toned blues and green (think peacock) would look awesome in tamu tamu!!

I agree! You have two totally different venues...why not use some of your creativity and different ideas, and have 2 different looks....maybe you can even change your earrings so that you can wear both!!! (I am such a bad influence when it come to money spending )

I say who cares about an exact "color scheme." Do colors you like that look good together. Don't get too stuck on a scheme. Do as many colors/shades as you like if they look nice together. Don't feel like you have to be tied to only pink/green/blue. Sometimes I find weddings that stick to a strict color scheme just look way too matchy matchy/1980's. Especially if it's all the exact same shade of one specific color (like teal or something.)

For what its worth, I think the blue, green and pink will look great together and you still have time to play with the shades if you start to feel like its going in the baby shower direction.

I think the dress and the veil are a good match. I'm not a historian so I haven't a clue if they appear to be from the same era - but as long as none of your guests are major history buffs, who will ever know anyway?! I think what matters is they are both very "you" and they both have the glamorous, dramatic look that I think you're going for. You love them and you'll feel great in them and be happy when you look back at your wedding photos later. I'd call that a win.

As far as the earrings I'd say go with whichever ones look best with the dress. (I could be wrong but) from what I remember of your mom buying you the earrings, it wasn't like she went out and carefully chose a pair and gave them to you as a surprise, but more like you two were at DB together, you saw them and liked them, and basically on a whim she paid for them for you at the register. Which is very sweet! But I TOTALLY don't think, if that's the case, that she will mind if you end up not wearing them. Also, she's your mom, she knows you, she knows you've made some changes and I'm sure she assumes there are more to come. Kudos to the person who can plan a wedding WITHOUT making changes! (I've been avoiding updating my own PJ for ages because of all the changes we've already made!)

Thanks! I agree with you on the style of my wedding…no one will notice or probably care too much. I love what I have so far and I think that’s all that counts. Plus Eric loves what we’ve picked out together.

You are right about my mom. We did kind of randomly pick them out and she wanted to pay for them. We do it all the time. She also said if they don’t work we would just bring them back (or use them for something else…we love jewelry!!)

Seriously Katie…we are on the same wavelength lately!!! We were just talking about this earlier! My mom and I even said peacock feathers!!! I think right now even though I really wanted a bright vibrant bouquet, I am stuck on a soft pink peony bouquet. I think it’s very romantic and vintagey!

Just been catching up. I think a birdcage is definately the way to go with your dress. All the earrings you've picked out have been lovely.

My DF hates pink, I wonder what he'd have said if i'd wanted pink flowers. I don't think it matters if your blue shoes are the only blue, in fact it might be better as they'll really stand out.

I think peacock feather colour's at the reception would be gorgeous.

Oh my I'm behind again...it was so much easier when I wasn't working at a place that doesn't allow us to be on the internet...unless it is for work reasons!

Anywho...Here is my catch up...
The colors: Girl you kill me! I'm proud of your DF for being strong enough to wear pink! You can make the pink/periwinkle/green combo work...I love the peonies and roses! (if I wasnt so set on red roses I would have used peonies...love the look!) You have your blue shoes...and that counts as your something blue...
Earrings...I'm torn...I like the etsy ones...I'm ok with the ones your mom got...I think the etsy ones match the dress a bit better (again my opinion) So, here is my compromise...Wear the etsy ones for the wedding...and the one's your mom got you for the rehearsal or reception. There beest of both worlds!

I think the first one of your bouquets is gorgeous and fits with the MOH bouquets perfectly. That last one is amazing too. I think it could be for either one of us. If you want pink in it you could put pink ribbon around the stems. You could do that with any of these really.

Also, I think that your dress looks white because of the flash. It washes the color out.

I know...I was looking for white bouquets for you but they seemed...I don't know. SO WHITE! Lol, I was trying to find something with a very pale green in it. See if you can find something else.

I love both of those bouquets you posted for me too. I like the last one and kinda found it by accident. I really had my heart set on peony's! I like the idea of adding a pink ribbon to it.
