...

I have to say, I do like the purple and green and if you do that at the reception and leave everything else, as is, I think that would look nice. Plus the deeper colors seem a little more Animal Kingdom-y And as long as it makes you and DF happy.

I'm always a fan of pink shoes :goodvibes
Aww you girls are killing me! I do love the purple and green:confused3

I really like the purple and green. I think that would be perfect for Tamu Tamu.

Here is my idea. In my opinion, all of the events of the wedding don't have to be matchy matchy. I think it's all about setting the atmosphere and complimenting your venue. I say, do the green and pink at the wedding pavilion since those colors fit in well with the venue.

When it is time for the reception, go with the purple and green which I agree will look great in Tamu Tamu. Eric can also change is tie to a green or purple to match the venue if you think the pink might be out of place. You don't have to worry about your flowers matching because it's not like you are really using them at the reception. You still have the green in common for both locations but you are only changing out one color. This way you get the best of both worlds without combining a bunch of colors together.

That was just my two cents. :rotfl::goodvibes Have a wonderful time at your planning session!!!

Thanks Toni!! I like that idea...I wonder if he would like the zebra cake with purple or green instead of pink...that would tie it all in together. I don't have to worry about the flowers matching sine the only colored flowers there would be my bouquet. Good ideas!!

:thumbsup2 The blue shoes are so common now, pink would be different and very pretty.

Really? Blue shoes are common now? I thought pink were...:confused3

I think a green ribbon on the cake would look nice. Especially since it sounds like that's one color you definitely don't want to change.

I'm wild and crazy. I wore white shoes at my wedding. :rotfl:

Awesome! I will be graduating in December with a degree in biochemistry! :goodvibes Yay nerds! :rotfl:

Lol this is one of the linens I fell in love with:

I think it would look so pretty with the green. At one point we had chosen purple and green as our colors.
You girls are cracking me up with all your glucose and glycine talk:rotfl:

Anyway, thanks for the compliments on the dress...and always YAY for cake!!

No, sadly, for my Urban Geography class. I have to write about downtown Valpo... yay? :rotfl: I would much prefer writing about glucose!

I loved writing papers on that stuff. The nutritional science degree was basically a biochem degree. I also majored in evolutionary anthropology. I'm thinking about getting a masters in either biochem or genetics. Right now I'm teaching Chemistry, but I also can do Bio. I love imparting my freakish love of science to kids, even though usually they just laugh at me.

I'm such a geek I'm going to order a vanity license plate of C6H12O6. :cool1:

And I was about to order a geeky shirt today that said Sweet as (insert diagram of glucose in chair configuration) but instead I order one with a heart with Au on it. haha

I know!!!:dance3:

I just have to get through work today, tomorrow I am going to a grape/wine festival with my mom and brother and then Sunday I will spend packing and just getting ready! Then we leave MONDAY!!

I forgot you were from Rochester. There are great wine/grape festivals. I love wine grapes. And you should get some grape pie :thumbsup2 YAY FOR LEAVING ON MONDAY!!!:banana::banana:

Purple and green do look great together.

I totally agree... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I'm am digging everyone loving my colors. :goodvibes And then you could be like me and get purple shoes!!! But I think blue shoes could always just work as your something blue, and not with your color scheme :confused3

The green ribbon on the cake isn't bad. But it doesn't really "pop" like the bright pink. I don't know. Maybe it doesn't need a ribbon at all. :confused3

Lol you just said you liked the green!:lmao:

I agree, it doesn't pop like the pink...I don't think purple would either. I'm off to try it!

I just have to say that it drives me crazy that the cake picture is at an angle. LOL.

The purple ribbon looks nice.

The purple ribbon is better than the green. I think if you are going to change the colors to purple and green at the reception, then you should not do the pink ribbon.

I agree that Eric could change ties if you are worried about the pink. I honestly can't remember what color tie DH even had (or if he even had one). We had a beach wedding so it was more casual, but I think he had a tie. So, if I can't even remember what DH had (and it was only six years ago), then I doubt people will pay that much attention at your wedding.

I would keep the blue shoes. It can be your "something blue" and it would save you some money since you already bought them.

I like the purple!:thumbsup2
I kinda do too!

The shoes I am not too worried about. If I don't use them I will dye them black. I could ALWAYS use a pair of black shoes. I'm not to worried about the pink...it would be my bouquet and his tie. My only thought was to change the cake ribbon to match the linens...but even that I'm not sold on. Thanks for the input though!

I like the purple too!

I don't know which I like better. I think definitely the purple over the green...but not sure I like it better than the pink.

And who knows...I could go home and df could vetoe everything, lol.

Not a fan of the green ribbon but the purple one looks fab (and so did the pink).

I do like your blue shoes and they can be your something blue. You could always change shoes for the reception and get purple or pink shoes as well, as in my mind you can never have too many shoes.

Maybe your planning session in a few days will help you decide on colors and stuff a little better. Sometimes it's nice to get a "professional" opinion.
