Aww thanks girls. Besides the fact that I love my wedding dress I think my mom would be heartbroken to see me change out of it that night...especially since it was a gift from her That's ok with me! I am just excited to wear it!! Wearing it at the Dessert Party is ok with me!

What is Eric going to wear to the UK party? Maybe a nice Tommy Bahama shirt or are you going to put him in something dressier too? Is this the fireworks DP? I get confused on all the different PJ's I read so I am not sure which you are doing. Will it be on one of those patio areas or inside?

Ok I love your new cake design! Are you going with black white and hot pink for your colors?

My colors were black and white and we had hot pink flowers with some red roses. It actually turned out stunning. Times like these make me wish I HAD put disposable cameras all over the tables. At least I wouldn't have to wait forever to get some pictures.

Oh and choc/pb cake... I have to tell you I got a cake called "chocolate peanut butter delight" and I had the Cubs emblem put on it for Jeff's grooms cake. It was a hit!! Everyone LOVED it. I had two "tiers" of wedding cake left and only a piece of the grooms cake was left.

My youngest daughters birthdays are a week apart (last Sunday and uncoming Sunday) and their party is on Saturday. I am so tempted to order those flavors for their birthday cake (as the only cake I tasted was banana during our cutting).

Airfare confirmation
Rental Car confirmation
Hotel/Package confirmation
Spreadsheets...yes I am one of those peope. I have one for park hours, one for our "itinerary" (very loose this trip...more of a guideline to match ADR's) and one for ADR's with Confirmation Numbers

We haven't thought about it yet. I think we are still hoping for Italy but right now it's the UK Lochside. It doesn't matter to me what he wears to be honest with you. Whatever he's comfy in. Maybe a black polo and nice khaki dress pants. He owns these golf polos in about every color you can imagine so I'm not worried

Ok you guys have me really excited about the choco/pb combo

To be honest...we don't have much of a color scheme going.

The ceremony is mostly pink, with touches of green (Lauren's dress and the other Eric's tie).

The reception will most likely have green and blue linens but Eric loved the pink ribbon on the cake. The only reason it's black and white is because, well it's Zebra and we really wanted some kind of animal print.

My mom is voting for pink and green linens...part of me wishes we had kept the purple we were considering at one point because they have this dark purple linen I love...I love all colors actually

You said your grooms cake went faster than the wedding cake...what flavors were your wedding cake?

First of all I wouldn't worry about colors too much. It seemed to me that there weren't too many people that liked my color scheme... at first. I wanted everything black and white and I wanted the flowers to have my colors.

So the bridesmaids had hot pink bouquets. I had red roses with stargazers. So I suppose they were on a monotone color scheme in a way, but I got plenty of crap from "family/friends" who didn't like the colors. AND it doesn't help that my cousin was planning her wedding thats a month after mine was. So her and her sister were always dogging my ideas and budgetting. (But our entire wedding was paid for in cash, no credit what so ever... and I have always been a creative type and they aren't.)

But anyway, maybe everyone hears this at their wedding, but I had so many family members tell me that I should be a wedding planner. And they just loved the entire scheme.

BUt... anyway what I am trying to say, is that any colors you like and appeal to you are going to create your vision and what you like. So if you like hot pink, green, and blue, with touches of black and white zebra, go for it. I doubt Disney wouldn't be able to come up with something perfect. (It might help if you and Eric just make a decision and then don't give room for any opinions - just say to yourself "I know what I want")

Oh - I wish I had pictures - but when I met with my florist I told him to do whatever he wanted with our centerpieces, I just wanted them to be tall. They cost me $20 each!!! and were STUNNING!! I mean they were so pretty, my favorite part of the wedding (well apart from marrying the love of my life). I think it is because I gave him a lot of creative free will.


And to answer your question...

The other flavors of cake I had were: Strawberry with Lemon filling, Banana with Bavarian Cream filling, and white with Raspberry filling.

They were rated:

1. Choc/PB
2. Strawberry
3. Banana
4. Technically the white cake... but that was because nobody ate that part, lol.

WOW...Thank you for all of that. I am always glad to hear opinions and other wedding story's!! I am not to worried...I think we as brides tend to overthink things and in reality no one will notice too much Your ideas sound great...as does your cake!! Banana with bavarian cream!! YUM!!
