...

WOW...Thank you for all of that. I am always glad to hear opinions and other wedding story's!! I am not to worried...I think we as brides tend to overthink things and in reality no one will notice too much :) Your ideas sound great...as does your cake!! Banana with bavarian cream!! YUM!!

Can't wait to see your pictures!!!!

I think you hit the nail on the head with the statement I put in bold above. Whenever anyone talks about weddings they've been to, they always seem to talk more about the reception than the ceremony. And really the two main things people seem to remember are the food and the music (if you have a reception with dancing.)

I rarely hear people talking about a color scheme. Sure, you'll have people that love or hate specific colors but it doesn't really matter much.

Good food and people having a good time are really the things people seem to remember.

I agree..only people on the wedding boards have really noticed the colors of our wedding. All the sweating about cake color and "not too much green" in my floral and really...no one came up to me and said "wow, I love how the bridesmaids dresses blended with the green theme and your dress had hidden mickey's!"
As long as it is classy and full of love, people will only notice the wedding as a whole.

We should start discussing proteins and polysaccharides so I won't have to leave to study! :rotfl: I kid... not the most exciting topic ever.

I don't know how I missed this, but that is exciting to me! I have a degree in nutritional science. Nothing like some glucose and glycine.

Anyway, you have WAY too many postings a day! That dress is amazing!!! Va va voom! I can't wait to see the pics. Hooray for cakes too.

Where has purple come!? Get purple, I love purple! Or you know whatever you want ;)
Lol this is one of the linens I fell in love with:

I think it would look so pretty with the green. At one point we had chosen purple and green as our colors.

You are right! I don't usually remember stuff like that...I think only the bride (and groom) are aware of such details. I am trying to be more relaxed about it!

Agreed, especially on the color of cake. They just want to eat it! :rotfl:

Ok love the cake! Good choice!!!

You girls are cracking me up with all your glucose and glycine talk:rotfl:

Anyway, thanks for the compliments on the dress...and always YAY for cake!!

Well, nerd talk is the best talk! :rotfl:

Dude, only three days until you planning session trip! How exciting! :goodvibes

I know!!!:dance3:

I just have to get through work today, tomorrow I am going to a grape/wine festival with my mom and brother and then Sunday I will spend packing and just getting ready! Then we leave MONDAY!!

Purple and green do look great together.

Don't you go and try to change my mind :lmao: Then we would have purple, pink, blue and green...although the only blue is my shoes (which I am rethinking) and the invitations. I just think the purple would be so pretty at Tamu Tamu.

You know what I get to do Monday? Write a paper. :rotfl: So jealous!

No, sadly, for my Urban Geography class. I have to write about downtown Valpo... yay? :rotfl: I would much prefer writing about glucose!

I am going to start a petition to get you to change to purple!

I don't think you need to worry about the invitations, no one will remember what colour they were.

You could get pink shoes to match your flowers :flower3:

You are trouble!!! I always wanted pink shoes, lol.

I have to say, I do like the purple and green and if you do that at the reception and leave everything else, as is, I think that would look nice. Plus the deeper colors seem a little more Animal Kingdom-y And as long as it makes you and DF happy.

I'm always a fan of pink shoes :goodvibes

I really like the purple and green. I think that would be perfect for Tamu Tamu.

Here is my idea. In my opinion, all of the events of the wedding don't have to be matchy matchy. I think it's all about setting the atmosphere and complimenting your venue. I say, do the green and pink at the wedding pavilion since those colors fit in well with the venue.

When it is time for the reception, go with the purple and green which I agree will look great in Tamu Tamu. Eric can also change is tie to a green or purple to match the venue if you think the pink might be out of place. You don't have to worry about your flowers matching because it's not like you are really using them at the reception. You still have the green in common for both locations but you are only changing out one color. This way you get the best of both worlds without combining a bunch of colors together.

That was just my two cents. :rotfl::goodvibes Have a wonderful time at your planning session!!!
