Maybe someone could hand "G" a list of items that she should run out and get tomorrow! Like some food, wood and necessities for her pets! How the heck did she end up with a sweetheart of a husband? Just lucky I guess.

Be thankful for locked doors and keep them that way!:lmao:

 Wow!

What is her reaction when you (politely, I'm sure) tell her to go away?

She is just BEYOND rude. :sad2:

I've known of people that have said and done rude things on occasion, but all of that from one person within a few days?! Whoa Nelly!!!

You're doing great, C.Ann. I think I would've lost my sunny disposition after the 1 am knock. Are you giving her the extreme displeasure look? Maybe it's time to read her her rights! Good luck, she's a piece of work!

I'd have called the cops about the noisy kids at midnight.

She sounds like a real piece of shi... work. I'm sorry you are going through this. I said a few posts back that she sounds a lot like my great aunt who is famous for her "it's all about me" attitude. But G sounds much worse.

I'm hanging in there - by a thread.. LOL

When there was a knock on my door at 1 a.m. Sunday morning - long after I had gone to bed - I had to remind "G" that there is no sign over my door that reads: "Pharmacy - Open 24 Hours A Day"..

On Sunday afternoon - when there was a knock on my door at 4 p.m. - I had to remind "G" that there is no sign over my door that reads: "Italian Grocer"..

At 6 a.m. Monday morning - when there was pounding on my door - I had to flat out tell "G" that I would NOT supply sleeping pills OR pain pills for her.. If she's having "issues", get in the car and go to the ER.. :headache:

At midnight last night, I had to phone "G" and tell her to stop the 6 six kids from running through my yard, screaming at the top of their lungs, and tripping the motion light that is right outside my bedroom window..:headache:

What day is this? I don't even remember anymore......:headache::headache:

Obviously "locked doors" are not a deterrent for "G"...

Holy crap. C. Ann, she shouldn't be named "G", just call her the Drama Llama.

My MIL would have "accidentally" thought she was a deer and shot her by now...

Horrors. I can't imagine anyone like her. Thank god.
Hang in there!

I'm thinking that you may have to just come out and tell her she is no longer welcome and why. If you get through this visit you'll only have the next to worry about, and the next, and so on. From what you've shared with us this woman doesn't deserve friends and/or relatives. It's probably time to cut ties. I'm sure it will be tough, but you should be better in the long-run.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I would do this in a heartbeat, but as I said, she's a relative of a very, very close friend of mine and if I "cut the cord", it will put that friendship in great jeopardy.. (My friend is due to arrive here on the 29th - staying in this area for 2 weeks..) There are "things" the relative doesn't know (that I have alluded to here) and I don't feel it's my place to be the "informer".. KWIM? :(

At this point I'm hoping she's angry enough over me not "giving her what she wanted" that the "huff" she left in will last at least until the end of this trip.. Then it will be back to square one when she returns again..

We love hanging out with her DH - too bad he couldn't come without her..;)

I think I would tell the friend, "I really love you, but your relative drives me nuts!" If your friend asks why, I would elaborate with things the relative has done this summer.

Most friends should be okay with continuing to be your friend even though you dislike one of their family members.

Oh, my head.

If anyone knocked at my door from 1 am to 7 am, they'd find the ER real quick.

I don't understand how you are dealing with this woman. I admire you!

You have only you to blame for the things that are happening. You failed to do the one important thing......lay the land mines around your place and post it!!!:rolleyes1

Hang in there, you'll make it thru all this.

You have a great attitude, C.Ann. Keep it up! :thumbsup2

And we all thoroughly ENJOY hearing every detail. It makes for very interesting reading for the rest of us DIS'ers. Just sorry you're having to live it.

So, your dear friend has an *** for a husband and his neice and they make everyone else miserable. However because of the love everyone else has for each other, you all put up with it as best you can.
That stinks.

Ok, let's see, ooooh, next time she asks for sleeping pills, I might just be persuaded to give her some. Although I don't know of any safe ones that will knock her out for a week. Hmmmm
