Why make yourself all curled up about it?

Just go about your day and when this person comes near you, tell them to kindly pound sand.

And then sneeze on them and say a friend had Swine Flu.

you can do it. we all do it on the dis every single day.

im sorry you will be sick for the next few days, but if you do feel better and venture out without your lip-zipper please let us know how it went :thumbsup2

Sounds like a good time to spend 10 days somewhere else... WDW?

I just received a phone call that someone I have a very hard time dealing with will be arriving Sunday - and staying for a minimum of 10 days.. (Not "in" my place - but very, very close by..)

Said person is on my short list of people I consider "toxic".. Unfortunately said person is also related to a very, very close friend of mine, so I have to at least be polite and civil.. (Unless said person pushes the wrong buttons - in which case all bets are off..;))

I'm pretty sure I'm "coming down" with something - which will strike on Sunday and be "highly contagious" for a minimum of 10 days.. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to lock my door, curl up in bed, and read all of those books I received in the mail this week..;)

I'm pretty sure that will be much easier than "zipping my lips" with said person..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Didn't this happen last year as well? I seem to recall...

Sorry to hear about your "illness." Good thing you have all those books. :goodvibes

Maybe your sister in Florida wants company.

:lmao:

Carry a bag, or empty bowl with you. That way you don't have to pretend to have a cold and you can visit or leave as you like. And she/he won't feel the need to bring over chicken soup or something to help you feel better or to keep you company. ;)

Someone is paying attention..;)

Said person will also be returning for 14 days the end of this month and into September.. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a "relapse" then..:rotfl:

I was wondering if it was the same person. I hadn't realized it had been last year though, it seemed like not that long ago.

I feel for you. The person I had such a hard time with isn't in my life any longer, thank heavens.

Yup - it's been a yearly issue since 2005..

Got lucky this year though - this is the "first" that said person will be coming - and the 2 other weeks I mentioned will be the "last" said person is coming this year!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Feel better ZOOM!
Get out and about..to heck with it all. LIFE is way to SHORT!
But if you decide to duke it out....please let us know....
Waiting to hear>good or bad!:rotfl:

I have a few relatives like this. And yes, life IS way too short to have to deal with them. Good luck with your cold. It sounds like a doozy. :thumbsup2

Yes, we need juicy details. ;)

Is that the same person that likes to come to your fireside chats? IIR she's a hard one to get away from and likes to drop by. Overbearing. Is that the one?

Doesn't sound like fun. I'd rather read a book myself.

That person in my life would be my brother. He was here in June. My father got very ill and he told me not to take him to ER - just to wait a couple of days.

I called 911 anyway. My father was hospitalized for about a month (very, very ill at 88), went to rehab and is now living in a retirement home.

I just got news he is coming in August - but fortunately I will be GONE. I can't tell him not to come as he owns this house. Now that my dad has moved out I need to get out of here soon myself. I've been taking care of my dad for about 8 years.
