Was there positive response for the lanyards?

No one really commented on the idea, but I think we're still going to do it. Last cruise no one knew about the lanyard tradition and we surprised them, and everyone loved the lanyards!

I purchased stuff to get started on our FE gifts yesterday! I can't wait to get started, and I sure hope they turn out alright. Only 2 months and 3 weeks until we cruise!

While I was out shopping yesterday (birthday shopping for Clint), I also stopped by Build A Bear (that's a dangerous store). I purchased some new traveling clothes for Walt (my bear that I made in DTD CA with Mickey Ears all over him). He is the proud new owner of a pirate outfit (including hat) for Pirate night, and a beach outfit for the cruise! I told the saleswoman that my husband thinks I'm crazy, and she just responded "well, it's cheaper than Zales, Coach, or therapy!"

Sounds so cute Sarah.. I can't wait to see your Mickey Bear in costume! Smart sales lady.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July... We enjoyed a great baseball game, some beer and a beautiful firework show with the kids and grandkids.. What an awesome way to celebrate.

We'll be in Houston the night before the cruise. =P But, I'm thinking we'll probably just hang out around the house so DD can get her beauty sleep since Saturday will be very busy/exciting!

I know what you mean about DD getting a good day of rest before Sat. She will have a very exciting week coming up!

Secret Mickey is like Secret Santa. Those who join will give and receive a gift. We keep it a secret as to whom you receive your gift from. Only your Secret Mickey knows who they are, and me (or whom ever coordinates it of course. The gifts usually are to be under $25. each and it can be one gift or several smaller ones given out throughout the cruise. You can join as individuals or a family. It really is so fun.... You might come to your cabin and find a gift from your secret mickey.... then.. you might try to guess who it is. We will meet for lunch usually on the last day to reveal who is who's Secret Mickey. We do let you know a little about the people you are assigned, such as names, favorite character, colors etc.... also hobbies they might have. They will supply the info to me and I will pass it on. Sound fun?

I think we will have a real advantage being on the first sailing. I was told that the Magic will be in Galveston from the 18th-22nd for staff training. That means no other passengers to disembark, so boarding shouldn't be held up waiting for cleaning and our rooms should be ready as soon as we board. Looks like we will be able to fully enjoy the Magic a little bit earlier than the following cruises.

I have the first port arrival time! Who's with me?

We still have a few days until I can do our online check-in! First timers, our 75-day window FINALLY opens this weekend!

We will driving over on Friday and staying in Galveston that night. Can you tell i am very excited about that ?? don't know what time we will be getting in - i may work 1/2 day. Can probably tell you closer to cruising time.

Okay, if I am reading this right - your port arrival time is determined by how early you do on line check in?? is this new? Last year when we cruised to Alaska, we walked over from the hotel (Disney arranged) as a group and got our boarding numbers. I remember 'cause the nice lady at the check in place gave us a lower number than we should have gotten. it was for us.

if so, i may go ahead and do the the check in. Was planning on doing that but was going to wait - don't know why

It is not so much when you check in. They give you options to choose your time. I too have the first time slot. Of course if you check in later some of the time slots will be full.
