My dd has a complex congenital heart defect,since birth, so dh and I had a lot of ups and downs of her health, esp. early on when she was born and her toddler yrs. I can relate with some of those ups and downs of surgery,etc.
She never had to have a heart transplant, but she had 3 major heart surgeries when she was younger. She is 9yrs. old now and doing well!

I was told that if everything was a go, I would get a call back around 6 or 6:30am the next morning, at which time, we where told that we have 30 minutes to leave our house, as we had a 3 hour drive ahead of us.

Congratulations, Kitty!

I've accompanied many of my cardiac patients down to the OR on the way to getting their heart transplants over the years. It's very emotional, we often have a good cry together. And when you hug goodbye, you don't want to let go.

I'm so glad things are going well for you!!

Congratulations on 22 months. My Dad had a liver transplant 10 years ago and I will never forget how grateful I was. The family that donated will forever be my heroes. Have a blast at WDW.
