$22.00 PER Voucher!!

It really is amazing. I placed a couple of bids with my max bid being $11.00 per voucher. I figured if I was gonna pay anymore I'd just join connections. Wow, was I way out bid. Don't these people realize they only cost $11.50?

What I keep wondering is...even if they don't know about Connections and the actual cost of the vouchers...do they really think a counter service meal at Disney would cost more than 22.00!?!?

I know park prices are high, but THAT HIGH?

I see that all the time on eBay. I don't get it either. I have tried a few times bidding on new items, and it's always gone higher than retail.

I see eBay more as a place to buy antique/rare items, not new items.

alansh

have fun on your trip....I see it is only 20 hrs. away.

Lucky you

Say hi to Mickey for me!!!!!

There's one born every minute....

The seller also didn't mention counter service either. The buyer probably thought they were for sit down restaurants. The buyer really needs a guidebook.

Someone should auction.....all the info you need to know about disney so you don't get taken over by people trying to sell you vouchers for double the price.

How much do you think they'd bid for that????

I must say that if I wanted to eat 10 meals at Beaches and Cream, this could be worth avoiding the aggravation of dealing with Connections!!! ;)  ;)

Seriously, I'm with the rest of you - it's nuts!

LOL you'd probably get enough for a nice meal at WDW!

I keep watching these auctions and cannot figure out why people keep over paying for these vouchers?!

The sellers IMPLY that these vouchers are for sit-down restaraunts when they say that tax and TIP are included. You don't give a tip at a counter service restaurant! The buyers really should take a minute to look into the restaurants --- the names are usually given right there in the ebay message. I wonder how people react when they find out they've just paid double for a meal.

I think that is disgusting. I really like e-bay and use it quite a lot myself but this is one item that they really should not allow to be sold. If the seller has a buy it now choice and they are only selling the vouchers for the price they paid for them that would be ok, however, the prices that the vouchers go for would enable the buyer to eat in the Castle instead of a counter service eatery.

Sorry for venting but I feel really strongly about this.

I posted this on another thread at the debate board, but I don't get the general fascination with vouchers, regardless of how much you pay. Is it that people don't want to carry cash? You can always charge your meals on a credit card. Why not just pay for the food you eat, rather than risk ovecommitting funds to vouchers and then feeling pressure to "get your money's worth" out of them. It just doesn't make sense to me. And why anyone would pay $22.50 per voucher is completely another story! My guess is that the people do not get that you can't use the vouchers at "real" restaurants - although my observation is that most of the posts do state that they are for counter service.
