I'm in a tiz about what to do for my 21st birthday while in WDW :confused3 Any ideas are welcome!!
My birthday is 14th Sept and there's a MNSSHP that night, and the plan at the moment is to go there that night. Nothings booked yet though because I don't feel quite settled about it? We'll be doing it one night while we're there for sure so its not like thats our only chance. My DMum keeps pointing out that I only have a 21st birthday once, but we can do that party any night which is a fair point.
I have 50's Prime Time booked for lunch that day too and that is our only ADR for the whole trip. I'm a bit bummed because I wanted to eat at CRT table but we booked the trip at 99 days out so no ressies availiable. 50's looks like such good fun, but again would you go there for a birthday??
My Dmum has said she's more than happy to pay for whatever I want to do for my birthday but I don't want to take the Mickey (ha! geddit?!).

So I'm really just calling on your suggestions and opinions really! :goodvibes

Just to add some pointers, I love MK, DHS and Epcot equally. And it's me my DBF (his first trip) and my DMum :)

IMPORTANT UPDATE! There is now one lunch ressie and one dinner ressie avaliable for CRT! It has been my dream to eat in the castle!

I'm now thinking lunch CRT and illuminations in the evening?! MNSSHP another night?! Bloody hell I'm not even going to make my 21st birthday if I keep getting this stressed about it!

I am so envious that you are going to WDW for your 21st!

My DBF and I are going to CRT on our first morning for breakfast... He didn't want to but I booked the ADRs! I've read good and bad reviews but I think I just wanted to eat in the castle once!

Other ideas for birthday celebrations... Interested in any of the tours? DBF is booking me a MK tour as my birthday present. Or a dessert party?

Personally, I would be wanting to do the one thing that I wasn't able to do before, i.e. drink. I know you can drink in the UK but, in my opinion, you can't beat drinking round the World at Epcot or Jellyrolls even (although if you're travelling with your parents, it might not be their thing).

If it was my 21st Birthday, I would probably do a special dinner somewhere nice and then go to Epcot for drinks and to watch Illuminations. Having said that and having been to MNSSHP with someone on their Birthday, if you're not bothered about drinking, MNSSHP would be a fun way to psend a Birthday and you do get a bucket-load of candy if you're wearing a Birthday button. We were going thorugh the trick-or-treat lines and getting a couple of pieces of candy each whereas when our friend, Lynn, went through the CMs were all saying 'Happy Birthday Lynn" and putting literally hadnfuls of candy in her bag.

So after what has been a very jam packed 20mins my whole plan has changed! I now have CRT booked for lunch! I have been checking every day since we booked to see if something came up! :cool1::cool1:
So my plan is now to go to CRT and then head to EPCOT! (This means I get to use the monorail too!! It really is the simple things in life...) I think my and my DBF are going to head to Jellyrolls one night with my Dmum since I've heard such good things about it!
Now onto the next important question... What should I drink around the world?? I like a good cocktail but don't really remember seeing any apart from at F+W. (Although I wasn't on the lookout since I couldn't drink).

I'm now so excited!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

My personal faves are the Grey Goose Citron Slush from a kiosk in France

and the Moroccorita from a stand in Morocco

By all accounts, the Green Dragon from the Rose and Crown is quite nice too but I haven't tried it personally. If you get a chance, before you go to Jellyrolls, pop in to the Belle Vue Lounge at the Boardwalk Inn. Get a Very Berry Punch (delicious) and sit out on the terrace to enjoy it. One of my absolute favourite things to do at WDW.

Thanks Wilma-Bride! The Very Berry Punch one looks amazing! I'll be cocktail hunting on the days leading up to my birthday so I'm sure I'll find a sufficent amount!:drinking1

I had my 21st birthday in WDW too :)

The BEST cocktails are the frozen ones IMO :) particularly the margaritas and strawberry daiquiris. DTD is great for cocktails.

I spent my 21st at Pleasure Island, mainly in the Adventurers Club and Comedy Warehouse. I SO miss those places, I'll always be sad Disney chose to get rid of them. It was actually kind of unpleasant to see the adventurers club "hidden" by bins and potted plants with all the signs gone when I was there two weeks back :(

Anyway, House of Blues is good for an evening out. Check out any events which are on, it's definitely worth a trip. So is Citywalk at Universal if you feel like something a bit more "adult"

Have fun anyways!

I too soent my 21st in wdw, it was my first trip since i went as a 16 year old with parents. Was my hubbys first trip and he didnt want to go :-) i soon changed that! I had breakfast with my fav eeyore and tigger and crystal palace and then we sent the day in magic kingdom. I then hired a car for a few days after to go shopping :-)
