21st August 2011, Disney Dream

Just booked a week in Florida 19th-26th Feb going to go over to the port and wave her off either on the 20th or 24th and take some pics.

We'll be at WDW the exact same time as you are! :goodvibes And we are going to wave her off on the 24th!! :rotfl2:

Got our dining/show times for all three cruises: 8.30 and 7pm

I think we will be going on the 20th, we like to goto Grills http://www.grillsseafood.com/index.php for a few hours, have a drink or 2, listen to the live music and then wave the ships off. I doubt they will have a band on midweek like they do on a Sunday.

You might have a point there! ;) I just had a look at the menu and it looks VERY inviting. Do you need a reservation at Grills?
And you got me thinking - since this is presidents day weekend - the parks will be packed on Sunday, so maybe waving her off on the 20th isn't such a bad idea!

Been twice but never eaten there, just had drinks at the Tiki bar, listened to the music and watched the boats coming back in after a day out fishing. We will possibly be eating there on the 20th, won't book though.

A couple of Youtube clips we have taken around Grills area.

Hi everyone

We had letters from DCL yesterday advising us that we will be on early dining at 6:00pm and last show time at 9:00pm - nothing like planning in advance!!

Hello to all the recent joiners to this cruise. :welcome:

David

I also got the notiifcation too....We are 6 pm dining and 9PM show :thumbsup2 Liking it...no rushing to eat so we dont miss the show.

I watched the video of the Dream coming out of the dock....brought a small tear to my eye. I still cry at disney fireworks :goodvibes I am such a sap!

Hi to everyone!! I posted my information several weeks ago but I think I may have gotten lost in the shuffle :goodvibes

I'm Heather and my best friend Donna and I are taking our first true Disney cruise. I actually was on one when it was run by the "Big Red Boat" many a moon ago but that doesn't count.:confused3 I think we're both a bit nervous that there won't be enough activities for adults without children but the cruise has had so many wonderful reviews and we are both huge Disney junkies that we had to give it a try. We're from Hatfield, PA just outside of Philly and I'm looking forward to the chance to meet such a diversely located group based on the cruise site Wayneg created.

Count us in the 8:30 dinner / 7:00 show group.

Hi Heather & Donna, welcome aboard.
I replied to you on last page, you must have missed it:rotfl:
Have you changed your ticker? I am sure when I replied in post #135 your ticker didn't match dates in August.
No worries they match now.
I wouldn't hesitate taking a Disney cruise without children, especially for only 4 nights.
I will add you to our list this evening.:goodvibes

Sorry I missed your post. We're definitely on the Aug 21 cruise. I've been having random ticker issues recently so hopefully they'll hold this time.

Added your stateroom number.:goodvibes

The cost difference for us in UK between value and OKW is very small plus in a value there is no free dining, at OKW we get the full dining plan.
All stars £77($118)/night no dining
Pop Century £92($141)/night no dining
OKW or SSR £117($180)/night includes free dining(this year we avaraged $170/night of free food)
Well worth the $62/night difference between value and OKW, far better room and all that free food.

Remember when you gave me that info?

Well, we have given in! :lmao: Staying at OKW before the cruise (Aug 13 - 21) on the UK deal and hoping for an AP discount for OKW for after the cruise as well (Sept 1 - 10)!
Thank you for "talking me into it", even though it did not take much to do so! :lmao:

I have an issue with buying the tickets that come with the UK package. We are AP holders, so I don't really need them (unless we use them to renew our APs), but since we always do a split stay I need to buy two sets and they DO expire! So, we were checking other options, but somehow OKW and the UK deal always win! :rotfl2:

You are way ahead of me with your restaurants.
I am still shuffling around the ones I have booked for February.
I guess I will give it more thought during my Christmas holiday, but you have a lot of really great choices on your list. We have never been to San Angel, but are trying La Hazienda in February! Can't wait!

A few we would not usually do but taking relatives with a 3 year old girl so trying to include, characters & princesses and a bit of plain dining, Karens cousin doesn't like, anything in sauce, cheese, pasta & lots more, just likes plain food. So we have a mix there hopefully we will all like something. Luckily as we have already done about 40 nights of DDP we know where to go.
We ate at San Angel this August, wasn't sure about it after reading mixed reviews but turned out to be one of our fave meals. Pics in post #456 of my trip thread (just after the Zebra domes) http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2524489&page=31

For Feb we will be offsite(just booked Holiday Inn Express LBV) eat at places we can't do when on DDP, Cheesecake Factory, Sweet Tomatoes, Mimis Cafe etc.

Just booked with Dreams Unlimited. Our stateroom is 7078 and the three of us are from Richmond, Va and mom is from Chambersburg, PA
:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Great news, updated the list
I still need to transfer my reservation to DU, will get around to it sometime.
Considering paying balance off while exchange rate is in our favour.

Is everyone on the "list" doing fish extenders? Im starting to gather them up now, so trying to get an idea of how much to buy?? thanks!!277 days!!!

We haven't discussed it yet, We love doing it on the 7 night cruises but not sure about time on the 4 nights, never been on a 4 nighter where anyone has arranged it.
If some want to do it I can add another column to the list to show who wants to take part.
