If you are onboard this year do you know about re-booking next years cruise and getting a discount?

Yup - I had recently posted to the DCL forum asking whether or not to book this bugger 17 mos out or wait until on-board to get the CC discount... The consensus seemed to be "book now!"

The CM confirmed this as a good idea - and said that "maybe" I'd see a savings over current rates (if rebooked, I'd get 10% off whatever the 2011 rates are on that date - no idea if they'd be the same or more as they are today...) Depends, I suppose, on the bookings and how full the ship gets before this August.

But, in any case, we're set and can do no worse (!) on the price(s)!

Hello--yeah!!! I am so glad I found this meet. We were on the 5 day double dip and now switched to Aug 21, 2011 4 day on the dream. We will hopefully spend some time (free dining) before at WDW.

We are me, dh, dd (10 at time of cruise) and dd (8 at time of cruise). We are from MN. Can't wait to meet more people yeah!!!

Have you done free dining before? we tried it for the 1st time last August for 16 nights, always eaten offsite before, so many places we enjoy eating. Really missed going to our usual places but onsite dining was a great experience. Booked it again for this August, 21 nights this time. They also offer us a great rate in UK to stay at OKW for about $152 incl tax/night combined with free Dining its great value.

We celebrated our odd's 9th birthday this weekend. Only one birthday to go til our cruise!!! Can't wait.

Wayne, We are in a 11C GTY so I don't know our room number yet. Hoping for a maybe upgrade since it is our first cruise. We will see.

We were upgraded on our 1st cruise, glad we were as we found out a verandah would be a waste of money for us, used it once the whole 4 nights so not something we would ever pay for.

Hi. I just switched our August 2010 cruise over to August 2011 on the Dream. I'll be sailing with dh, dd11 and dd7 at time of cruise. The cruise also coincides with my 13th anniversary. Dh and I sailed on a 3 night Magic cruise for our honeymoon (before Wonder) and we've all done a 7 night Eastern Magic and 3 night Wonder. I'm diasppointed to have cancelled this summer's cruise but excited about going on the Dream. I think we are in a Family Oceanview. We stayed in the SPH rooms before and loved those.

4 out of 5 DCL we have done we have booked SPH, they are great value. 1st cruise we were upgraded, Easter 08 we booked inside as we needed 2 cabins & SPH were not available. Other 3 times we sailed in them. No idea if there will be any on Dream but we will have a virtual porthole.

Welcome!!! Our dds are similar ages and we will be celebrating (1 1/2 months earlier) our 13th anniversary on the cruise as well. An oceanview sounds great!!! What are SPH rooms?

Secret Porthole cabins, you pay inside price but they are outside with partially obtructed views.
One of them reviewed here. No idea if there will be any on Dream.

Hello everyone, we are from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We have sailed on other cruise lines before and this will be our first with DCL. Cruisers will be DW, two DDs (17 & 19 on departure date), and myself. Our cabin is 9507.

We are considering an Alaskan cruise May 2011, either from Vancouver or Seattle. Shame Disney depart Tuesday as we can only sail Sat~Sat due to Mathew being at college and only getting 1 week off in May. Seattle is a cheaper/easier airport from UK but leaving final decision until all prices are released.

We will be on this cruise (our sixth) along with several other family members (just to let you know, although Wayne and I have never met we have stayed in the same place at the same time on many occasions so it looks as though we will finally get to meet).

Our UK group is me, my wife Helen, my son Alex (17 at present), my daughter Bethen (10 at present), my niece Lizi (14 at present), my father-in-law Alan, and mother-in-law Elaine. For Alan and Elaine it is their first time in USA as well as their first Disney cruise.

We are all in rooms 8017, 8018, & 8020.
