5/12/10 - I am so humble and thankful God has blessed us with another year with our darling Laura. I have been updating this thread each year on or around this date to hopefully promote organ donation and publically thank our Heavenly Father for allowing us another 365 days with our precious daughter. We never, ever forget that while we celebrate there is another mom out there who is thinking her son would have been 21 years old now. We pray for her well being and thank this unknown person for giving us a priceless gift. Thank you for allowing me to share this special day with my DIS friends!

5/12/09 - So grateful, so very blessed . . . updating to change this post from 19 years to 20. We've made it another year. Thank you God. Thank you Robert's mom. Thanks to all of you who have been through all the ups and downs with us over the years. May you all have a glorious day!
We never met him.
We know his name was Robert.
And he was six months old.
We never met his mother. We'll never know her name. But we're eternally grateful to her.
She gave us a gift we can never repay. We can thank her the only way we know how which is to never, ever forget or take for granted what she so unselfishly gave us.
Our daughter.

Nineteen years ago our daughter was a very sick 6 week old baby. We got the call that a much needed heart was available to save her life.
If anyone is reading this is not an organ donor we beg you to reconsider your decision. Organ donation blesses lives. It doesn't always work. Our road has been anything but easy. But it gives people a chance who desperately need one.
Thank you Robert and your mommy. We know she is remembering this day as we are. We hope where ever she is and whatever she is doing she is happy and blessed.
