So if someone bought a resale contract today at SSR, come 2042, they would still have the possibility to book at AKV, BLT, CC, GF, and the Poly at WDW?

But just unbelievable to me that Disney wouldn't shut off access to the BC, BW and even BR come 2042.

Well, the future is hard to know what exactly will happen if they will offer extensions or not.
But in theory, if you own 2042 resort when that time comes, your points are done. So buying Saratoga today, if that’s your only home resort, in 2042 all done dvc for you.

SSR expires in 2054, so they wont be able to book any longer at any of the expired 2042 resorts but they will still be able to book at the others through 2054

It is very likely that they WILL shut off resale points (bought after 2019) having access at BCV, BWV, and BRV after they close and reopen them. Most likely they will resell points as a brand new association for them.
